把耶利米从卫兵的院子里提出来，交给沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，叫他带耶利米回家去。这样，耶利米就住在人民中间。

然而沙番的儿子亚希甘却保护耶利米，不许人把耶利米交在人民的手中处死。
