傳道者既智、則以知識誨民、尋思考察、廣序箴言、傳道者搜索嘉言、循正直而書實語、

尊卑同居、奴脫於主、○

維時、所羅門曰、耶和華曾云、必居於幽深之處、惟我為爾建室、俾爾永居、王乃回顧、為以色列會眾祝嘏、會眾咸立、王曰、以色列之上帝耶和華、宜頌美焉、昔以口諭我父大衛者、今以手成之、彼曰、自我導我民出埃及地、於以色列支派中、我未嘗簡一邑以建室、為我寄名之所、亦未嘗簡一人、為我民以色列之君、惟簡耶路撒冷、為我寄名之所、又簡大衛治我民以色列、我父大衛、有意為以色列上帝耶和華之名建室、耶和華諭之曰、爾欲為我名建室、此意誠善、然爾不可建室、惟爾所生之子、將為我名建室、今耶和華成其所言、蓋我循其所許、起而繼父大衛、居以色列國位、又為以色列上帝耶和華之名建室、置匱於其中、內有耶和華之約、即與以色列人所立者、○

又告王曰、祭司希勒家授我一書、遂讀於王前、王聞法律之言、自裂其衣、

鞫時、毋行偏視、無論貴賤、必聽其詞、不可畏人、蓋鞫事屬上帝也、事遇難斷、則呈我聽之、

王命民眾曰、當為爾之上帝耶和華、守逾越節、循此約書所載、

亞蘭王曾命車長曰、尊卑俱勿與戰、惟與以色列王而已、

耶和華云、我必降災於此處、及其居民、即讀於猶大王前之書、所載諸詛、
