然而永恆主向猶大所發的猛烈怒氣還沒有轉消，是為了瑪拿西惹他發怒的那些事的緣故。

拿答行永恆主所看為壞的事，走他父親所走的路，犯他父親使以色列人犯的那罪。

然而他們卻不聽從；而瑪拿西竟迷惑了他們去行壞事、比永恆主從以色列人面前所除滅的外國人更壞。永恆主由他僕人神言人們經手、講話說：『因為猶大王瑪拿西行這些可厭惡的事、比他以前的亞摩利人一切所行的更壞，並且用他的偶像使猶大人犯了罪；

隨從永恆主從以色列人面前所驅逐的外國人的規例、和以色列諸王所立的條規。以色列人暗暗地行了不對的事、違背永恆主他們的上帝，在他們所有的城市、從瞭望人的譙樓、到有堡壘的城、他們都築了邱壇；又在各高岡上、各茂盛樹下、立了崇拜柱子和亞舍拉神木；就在那裏在邱壇上燻祭，正像永恆主從他們面前所擄走的外國人所行的一樣；他們又行壞事來惹永恆主發怒；

因了耶羅波安的罪、就是他自己犯了的、又使以色列人犯了的、永恆主必將以色列人放棄了。』

『不可因這些事的任一樣而蒙不潔，因為我從你們面前所趕走的外國人、就是在這一切事上蒙不潔的。

這族之民又大、又多、又高、像亞衲人一樣；永恆主從亞捫人面前消滅他們，把他們趕出，亞捫人便接替他們住在那裏；

因為你守了暗利的規例和亞哈家一切所行的，按照他們的計畫去行，好叫我使你荒涼，使你的居民被嗤笑；你們也必擔受萬族之民的羞辱。』

不但如此，瑪拿西還流了無辜之血非常的多，以致耶路撒冷、從這邊到那邊都滿了血；此外還有他所犯的那罪，就是使猶大人犯了罪、而行永恆主所看為壞的那事。

你正是你母親的女兒，厭棄自己的丈夫自己的女兒的；你正是你姐妹的姐妹，厭棄她們自己的丈夫自己的女兒的：你母親是赫人，你父親是亞摩利人。你大姐是撒瑪利亞，她和她女兒們住在你北邊；你小妹是所多瑪，她和她女兒們住在你南邊。你不是只按他們所行的而行，不是只照他們可厭惡之事去作；你乃是以那為小可；故此你一切所行的居然比她們更腐壞。

我領你們到亞摩利人之地，就是住在約但河東那邊的；他們跟你們交戰，我將他們交在你們手中，你們便取得了他們的地以為業；我也將他們從你們面前消滅掉。
