He sacrificed his children in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced divination and witchcraft, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.

He got messages from people who had died. He talked to the spirits of people who have died. He did many things that were evil in the eyes of the Lord. Manasseh made the Lord very angry.

And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.

Manasseh also sacrificed his own sons in the fire in the valley of Ben Hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger.

照着耶和华从以色列人面前赶出的外邦人所行可憎的事，在欣嫩子谷烧香，用火焚烧他的儿女，

“人若转向招魂的和行巫术的，随从他们行淫，我就要向这人变脸，把他从百姓中剪除。

并使他的儿子经火，又观星象，行法术，求问招魂的和行巫术的，多行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒。

不可使你儿女经火献给摩洛，也不可亵渎你神的名。我是耶和华。

有人对你们说：“当求问招魂的与行巫术的，他们唧唧喳喳，念念有词。”然而，百姓不当求问自己的神吗？岂可为活人求问死人呢？

“不可转向招魂的，也不可求问行巫术的，免得被他们玷污。我是耶和华—你们的神。

他们在欣嫩子谷建造陀斐特的丘坛，要在火中焚烧自己的儿女。这并不是我所吩咐的，我心里也从来没有想过。因此，看哪，日子将到，这地方不再称为陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒称为杀戮谷。他们要在陀斐特埋葬尸首，甚至无处可葬。这是耶和华说的。

这样，扫罗为了他的不忠死了；因为他干犯耶和华，没有遵守耶和华的话，又因他求问招魂的妇人，

“无论男女，是招魂的或行巫术的，他们必被处死。人要用石头打死他们，血要归在他们身上。”

拜偶像、行邪术、仇恨、纷争、忌恨、愤怒、自私、分派、结党、

你不可向耶和华—你的神这样做，因为他们向他们的神明做了耶和华所憎恨、所厌恶的一切事，甚至将自己的儿女用火焚烧，献给他们的神明。

哪知，丧子、寡居这两件事一日之间忽然临到你；你虽多行邪术、广施魔咒，这两件事必全然临到你身上。你倚靠自己的恶行，说：“无人看见我。”你的智慧聪明使你走偏，你心里说：“惟有我，除我以外再没有别的了。”但灾祸临到你，你不知如何驱除；灾害落在你身上，你也无法除掉，你所不知道的毁灭必忽然临到你身上。尽管使用从幼年就施行的魔符和众多的邪术吧！或许有些帮助，或许可以致胜。

悖逆与占卜的罪相等，顽梗与拜偶像的罪孽相同。因为你厌弃耶和华的命令，耶和华也厌弃你作王。”

“你们不可吃带血的食物。不可占卜，也不可观星象。

他又玷污欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不许人在那里使儿女经火献给摩洛。

此外，在犹大地和耶路撒冷所见那些招魂的、行巫术的，家中的神像和偶像，以及一切可憎之物，约西亚尽都除掉，实行了希勒家祭司在耶和华殿里所发现的律法书上所写的话。

她们行奸淫，手中有血。她们与偶像行奸淫，使她们为我所生的儿女经火，给它们当食物。

埃及人的心神在里面耗尽，我要破坏他们的计谋。他们必求问偶像和念咒的，求问招魂的与行巫术的人。

使他们的儿女经火，占卜，行法术，出卖自己，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒。

你中间不可有人使儿女经火，也不可有占卜的、观星象的、行法术的、行邪术的、施符咒的、招魂的、行巫术的和求问死人的。凡做这些事的都是耶和华所憎恶的；因这可憎恶的事，耶和华—你的神把他们从你面前赶出去。你要向耶和华—你的神作完全人。你所要赶出的那些国家都听从观星象的和占卜的，但是耶和华—你的神从来不准你这样做。”

“你要对以色列人说：凡以色列人，或是寄居在以色列的外人，把自己儿女献给摩洛的，必被处死；本地的百姓要用石头打死他。

她们杀了儿女献给偶像，当天又进入我的圣所，亵渎了它。看哪，这就是她们在我殿中所做的。
