And he resolutely set to work and rebuilt all of the wall that had been broken down and erected towers on it, and built another outside wall and strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in great numbers.

He took courage, built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised it up to the towers, with the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in David’s city, and made weapons and shields in abundance.

法老的女儿从大卫城上到所罗门为她建造的宫里。那时，所罗门才建造米罗。

你们看见大卫城缺口很多，就汇集下池的水；你们数点耶路撒冷的房屋，拆毁房屋，用以修补城墙，

大卫住在堡垒里，给它起名叫大卫城。大卫又从米罗往内，周围建筑。

城被攻破，士兵全都在夜间从靠近王的花园、两城墙中间的门逃跑。迦勒底人正在四围攻城，王就往亚拉巴逃去。

示剑所有的居民和全伯‧米罗都聚集在一起，到示剑橡树旁的柱子那里，立亚比米勒为王。

犹大王西底家和所有士兵看见他们，就在夜间从靠近王的花园、两城墙中间的门逃跑出城，往亚拉巴逃去。

亚撒的儿子约沙法接续他作王，奋勇自强，防备以色列。他安置军兵在犹大一切坚固城里，又安置驻军在犹大地和他父亲亚撒所得以法莲的城镇中。

他举手攻击王是因先前所罗门建造米罗，修补他父亲大卫城缺口的这件事。

罗波安的王国稳固，他强盛的时候就离弃耶和华的律法，全以色列都跟从他。

又在犹大各城镇除掉丘坛和香坛。在他治理下，国中太平。他在犹大建造了几座坚固城。那些年间，国中太平，没有战争，因为耶和华赐他平安。他对犹大人说：“我们要建造这些城镇，四围筑墙，盖城楼，安门，做闩；地仍属于我们，因为我们寻求耶和华—我们的上帝；我们寻求他，他就赐我们四境平安。”于是他们建造城镇，诸事亨通。

约阿施的臣仆起来背叛，在下到悉拉路上的米罗宫那里把他杀了。

乌西雅为全军预备盾牌、头盔、铠甲、枪、弓和甩石的机弦，又在耶路撒冷叫巧匠设计机器，安在城楼和角楼上，用以射箭，投掷大石。乌西雅的名声传到远方，因为他得了非凡的帮助，极其强盛。

第七年，耶何耶大奋勇自强，叫了耶罗罕的儿子亚撒利雅、约哈难的儿子以实玛利、俄备得的儿子亚撒利雅、亚大雅的儿子玛西雅，和细基利的儿子以利沙法等众百夫长，与他们立约。

米乌尼人向乌西雅进贡。他的名声传到埃及，因他非常强盛。
