But Pharaoh’s daughter went up from the city of David to her own house that Solomon had built for her. Then he built the Millo.

and you saw that the breaches of the city of David were many. You collected the waters of the lower pool,and you counted the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.

And David lived in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built the city all around from the Millo inward.

He also took out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the incense altars. And the kingdom had rest under him.He built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest. But in the seventh year Jehoiada took courage and entered into a covenant with the commanders of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, Azariah the son of Obed, Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri.

The Ammonites paid tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread even to the border of Egypt, for he became very strong.
