你們看見大衛城破口纍纍，你們儲存下池的水，數點耶路撒冷城的房屋，把房屋拆掉修補城牆。

大衛住在錫安的堡壘裡，並稱之為大衛城，他又從米羅興建環城圍牆。

城被攻破，城裡的所有士兵便在夜間穿過御花園，從兩城牆中間的門逃往亞拉巴。當時迦勒底人仍四面包圍著城。

示劍和米羅的人都聚集到示劍石柱旁的橡樹下，擁立亞比米勒為王。

羅波安王位穩定、國勢強盛後，就離棄耶和華的律法，以色列人也都隨從他。

他除掉猶大各城邑的邱壇和香壇，那時國中太平。他還在猶大修築堅城，那些年國中太平，沒有戰事，因為耶和華賜他平安。他對猶大人說：「我們要修築城邑，在四周建造城牆和望樓，裝置大門和門閂。我們仍擁有這片土地，是因為我們尋求我們的上帝耶和華；我們尋求祂，祂就賜我們四境平安。」於是，他們修築城邑，凡事順利。

約阿施的臣僕謀反，在去悉拉途中的米羅宮殺了他。

烏西雅為全軍備有盾牌、矛槍、頭盔、鎧甲、弓箭和投石器用的石頭，又讓巧匠在耶路撒冷設計和製造兵器，安放在城樓和角樓上，用來發射弓箭和石頭。烏西雅威名遠揚，因為他得到非常的幫助，極其強盛。

第七年，耶何耶大發憤圖強，召來一些百夫長與他們立約。他們是耶羅罕的兒子亞撒利雅，約哈難的兒子以實瑪利，俄備得的兒子亞撒利雅，亞大雅的兒子瑪西雅，以及細基利的兒子以利法。

亞捫人向他進貢，烏西雅的名聲傳到埃及，因他極其強大。
