所以巴比倫公侯的大使奉差來見希西家、要查問猶大地所發生的兆頭；在這件事上帝也放任希西家隨意而行，為的是要試驗他，好知道他內心所隱藏的是甚麼。

惟有一件事，就是巴比伦王差遣使者来见希西家，访问国中所现的奇事；这件事神离开他，要试验他，好知道他心内如何。

But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.

The rulers of Babylon sent messengers to him. They asked him about the miraculous sign that had taken place in the land. Then God left Hezekiah to test him. God wanted to know everything in Hezekiah’s heart.

And so in the matter of the envoys of the princes of Babylon, who had been sent to him to inquire about the sign that had been done in the land, God left him to himself, in order to test him and to know all that was in his heart.

However, when ambassadors arrived from Babylon to ask about the remarkable events that had taken place in the land, God withdrew from Hezekiah in order to test him and to see what was really in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Even in the matter of the messengers of the rulers of Babylon, who were sent to him to inquire about the wonder that had happened in the land; God left him alone only to test him, so that He might know everything that was in his heart.

However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Howbeit in[ the business of] the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was[ done] in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all[ that was] in his heart.

So when the envoys arrived from the Babylonian officials to visit him and inquire about the sign that occurred in the land, God left him alone to test him, in order to know his true motives.

However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

你要記得、這四十年在曠野、永恆主你的上帝一路引領你，是要使你受苦、是要試驗你，要知道你心裏怎樣、肯守他的誡命不肯。

這些事以後，上帝要試驗亞伯拉罕，就對他說：『亞伯拉罕』；亞伯拉罕說：『我在這裏呢。』

當那些日子、希西家病得快死，就禱告永恆主；永恆主有話對他說，又給了他一個兆頭。

在曠野、他將你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你喫，都是要使你受苦，要試驗你，使你終久得好處；

人被試誘，不可說『我是由上帝而被試誘的』，因為上帝不被惡試誘；他也不試誘人。

但你只要伸手擊打他一切所有的，他就一定當面謗讟你了。』永恆主對撒但說：『看哪，凡他所有的都讓你手擺布；只是他的身子、你卻不可伸手加害。』於是撒但就從永恆主面前退出來。

我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。住在我裏面、而我住在他裏面的、這種人才能多結果子；因為離了我、你們就不能作甚麼。

鼎要鍊銀，爐要鍊金；惟有永恆主是察驗人心的。

但他來的日子誰能當得起呢？他顯現時、誰能站立得住呢？『因為他像煉金之人的火，像漂布之人的鹼。他必坐着、作為熬煉銀子、使它潔淨者；他必使利未人潔淨，他必精煉他們像金子、像銀子，直到他們用對的供物獻與永恆主。

那時巴比倫王巴拉但的兒子米羅達巴拉但聽說希西家病了，又康復了，就給希西家送文書，也送了禮物來。希西家喜歡他們，就將藏寶庫、銀子、金子、香料、珍貴的油、和他所有的軍器廠、以及他寶庫裏所有的一切東西、都給他們看；凡在他家中的、其實凡在他全國之內的、希西家沒有一樣不給他們看的。於是神言人以賽亞來見希西家王，問他說：『這些人說了甚麼？他們從哪裏來見你？』希西家說：『他們是從遠地、從巴比倫來見我的。』以賽亞說：『他們在你家裏看見了甚麼？』希西家說：『凡我家中所有的、他們都看了；我的寶物中我沒有一樣不給他們看的。』以賽亞對希西家說：『你要聽萬軍之永恆主的話。看吧，日子必到，凡你家中所有的、和你列祖所積聚到今日的、必都被帶到巴比倫去、不留下一樣：這是永恆主說的。並且從你本身出的、就是你所生的、子孫中、也必有人被擄去，在巴比倫王宮裏當太監。』希西家對以賽亞說：『你所說永恆主的話很好啊。』他心裏說：『至少在我活着的日子有太平穩固的景況就好啦。』

我必使這三分之一經過火，我必熬煉他們，像人熬煉銀子；試煉他們，像試煉金子。他們就必呼求我的名，我就應他們。我要說：「他們是我的子民」；他們個個都要說：「永恆主是我的上帝。」

大利拉說：『參孫哪，非利士人來拿你來了。』參孫睡醒了來，心裏說：『我要像前幾次出去運動運動』；卻不知道永恆主已經離開了他。

希西家問以賽亞說：『永恆主必將我醫好，第三天我就能上永恆主的殿：有甚麼兆頭呢？』以賽亞說：『永恆主必成就他所說到的事；他所要給你的兆頭是這樣：日影必向前進十步呢？或是要往後退十步呢？』希西家說：『日影向前斜照十步比較容易；不，我要日影往後退十步。』神言人以賽亞向永恆主呼求，永恆主就使臺階上的日影、在亞哈斯臺階上所照下的、往後退了十步。那時巴比倫王巴拉但的兒子比羅達巴拉但聽見希西家病了，就給希西家送文書，也送了禮物。希西家喜歡他們，就將他所有的藏寶庫、銀子、金子、香料、珍貴的油、和他的軍器廠、以及藏寶庫裏所有的一切東西、都給他們看；凡在他家中的、其實凡在他全國內的、希西家沒有一樣不給他們看的。

不要掩面不顧我呀！不要發怒推開你僕人；你素來是幫助我的；拯救我的上帝啊，不要丟棄我，不要將我撇下！

永恆主啊，你察透了我，你認識我。我坐下、我起來、只有你才曉得；我的意念你從遠處就明白。

你不可聽那神言人或那作夢的人的話；因為永恆主你們的上帝在試驗着你們、要知道你們是不是真地全心全意愛永恆主你們的上帝。

這是要叫你們的信心被試驗為及格的、比那經火試驗還能銷滅的金子更寶貴得多多的、可以在耶穌基督顯示之時見為蒙受稱讚榮耀和尊重的。

『永恆主必成就他所說過的這件事：他所要給你的兆頭是這樣：看吧，我必使臺階上的日影兒、就是在亞哈斯臺階上所照下的、往後退十步。』於是在臺階上所照下的日影兒果然退了十步。

不要丟掉我離開你的聖容；不要從我裏面收回你的聖靈。求你使我復得你拯救之喜樂，使我有甘心樂意的靈來扶持我。

求你照你的諾言扶持我，使我活着；不要使我因仰望而失望。求你支持我，我便得救助，不斷看重你的律例。

永恆主問撒但說：『你有沒有用心察看過我僕人約伯，看出地上沒有人能比得上他那樣純全，又正直又敬畏上帝，又遠離壞事呢？他一直持守他的純全，故此你激動我去攻擊他，毁滅他、是無用的。』撒但回答永恆主說：『以皮代皮：人為了自己的性命、就情願拿出他一切所有的了。你只要伸手擊打他的骨頭和皮肉，他就當面謗讟你了。』永恆主對撒但說：『看哪，他都讓你手擺布；只是他的性命你卻要保存。』

上帝啊，察透我，知道我的心！試驗我，知道我的意念！看在我裏面有甚麼損害的行徑沒有；引導我走永恆之道路哦！
