Kore the Levite guarded the East Gate. He was in charge of the offerings people chose to give to God. He handed out the offerings made to the Lord. He also handed out the gifts that had been set apart to the Lord. Kore was the son of Imnah.

七七日既過、必守節以奉爾上帝耶和華、既蒙其錫嘏、惟心所願、獻禮物以供役事、

示利米得東門。其子撒加利亞、議士也、掣籤得北門。

值節期時、必以今所言之燔祭禮物灌奠之酒、酬恩之祭、獻我、即在許願樂輸之外。

猶大人所旅之地、其地之民可助之、饋以金銀、財貨、牲牷、亦可樂輸禮物、供耶路撒冷上帝之殿。

凡在巴比倫國、億兆、祭司、樂輸金銀、欲供耶路撒冷殿中之所需、奉事上帝。

告亞倫及其子、與以色列族云、凡以色列族、或族中之賓旅、許願樂輸、燔禮物以獻、

至若補過之祭、亦有常例焉、此祭為至聖。宰燔牲之所、必宰補過之牲、其血灑於壇四周、取所有之脂、與尾、及蓋臟之脂、腰間左右腎、與其脂、及肝片、祭司悉焚之於壇、是為燔祭、以奉事我、俾得補過。此物至聖、惟祭司諸丁男於聖地食之。

禮物之餘、勿以酵相和、在聖地會幕之場、亞倫及其子食之。炊之毋和以酵、禮物少許、既燔獻我、其餘乃至聖、為亞倫子孫所應得、如贖罪補過之祭然。

摩西諭亞倫、及其子以利亞撒、以大馬、曰、獻耶和華燔祭時、有麵為禮物、其餘為至聖、爾食於壇旁、毋置酵。必於聖地食之、蓋獻耶和華燔祭中、以是歸爾、及爾子孫、我所奉之命、乃如此。

凡獻我之物、無論人畜田畝、俱不得鬻、亦不得贖、

穀與油及酒、所應輸之什一、或牛羊之首生、所許願樂輸、舉而獻之禮物、俱不可食於爾家、

以上所載、為司閽之長、班列分於兩旁、供其役事、於耶和華殿。

我使人理府庫、即祭司示利米、士子撒督、利未人比太亞、其次馬大尼孫、撒刻子哈難、此數人者、皆竭忠以供同宗為職。

外此更當守我安息日、亦必償爾所許之願、樂輸、禮物、以獻於我。

後於月朔、及耶和華所定之節期、恆獻燔祭、外此凡有樂輸禮物、奉事耶和華者亦獻之。

爾之燔祭、祀品、所應輸之什一、所奉獻許願樂輸之禮物、及牛羊首生之牡者、俱必攜之至彼、

既燔一撮以獻我、則禮物為至聖、其餘當歸亞倫及子孫。

耶和華兮、聽我許願、以爾命示余兮、

在東門有利未族六人、北門四人、南門四人、府庫前二人、日以為常。
