Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites, who showed good understanding of the service of the Lord. For the seven days they ate their assigned portion and offered fellowship offerings and praised the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

Hezekiah spoke words that gave hope to all the Levites. They understood how to serve the Lord well. For the seven days of the feast they ate the share given to them. They also sacrificed friendship offerings. They praised the Lord, the God of their people.

And Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who showed good skill in the service of the Lord. So they ate the food of the festival for seven days, sacrificing peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

Hezekiah encouraged all the Levites regarding the skill they displayed as they served the Lord. The celebration continued for seven days. Peace offerings were sacrificed, and the people gave thanks to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

Then Hezekiah encouraged all the Levites who performed skillfully before the LORD. They ate at the appointed festival for seven days, sacrificing fellowship offerings and giving thanks to the LORD, the God of their ancestors.

Then Hezekiah encouraged all the Levites who performed skillfully before the Lord. They ate at the appointed festival for seven days, sacrificing fellowship offerings and giving thanks to Yahweh, the God of their ancestors.

And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.

是日書四分之一立於其所、誦主其天主律法之書、晝四分之一認罪、崇拜主其天主、

立轄民之武士長、集於城門衢、以言勉之、曰、

今當於主爾列祖之天主前認罪、遵其旨而行、絕離斯土各族、與所娶異族之女、

自首日至末日、以斯拉日日誦讀天主律法之書、民眾守節期歷七日、至八日有大會、循其常例、

因天主賜人智慧、知識明哲、皆由天主之口而出、主為正直者存福祉、福祉或作救恩行止無過者、主護之如盾、

攜主律法書、遍行猶大諸邑、教誨其民、

雖然、厥後我仍勸誘之、導之於野、以善言慰藉其心、

以主之法度教雅各、以主之律例誨以色列、焚香於主前、獻火焚祭在主之祭臺、

且我視萬事為有損、因皆不如得識我主耶穌基督、我為彼遺棄諸事、視為糞土、惟欲得基督、顯我屬彼、

教誨以色列人之利未人、潔己潔己或作區別為聖以奉事主者、王諭之曰、以色列王大衛子所羅門所建之殿、爾曹將聖匱置於其中、不復以肩舁之、今當專奉事主爾之天主、服事其民以色列、

以斯拉歟、我命爾循爾天主所賦爾之智慧、選擇識爾天主律法者、立為刑官、刑官或作有司士師、以鞫河西之民、其未識者、爾則誨之、

我啟口所言、乃至善至正、爾其聽之、

往見當日為祭司者、謂之曰、我今日敬告主爾之天主、我已至主所誓於我列祖欲賜我之地、祭司取筐於爾手、置之主爾天主之祭臺前、爾在主爾之天主前、當敬告曰、我祖亞蘭人飄流無定、飄流無定或作窘迫將亡攜人無多以往伊及、乃旅於彼、在彼成為大族、強盛蕃衍、伊及人惡待我儕、虐遇我儕、以苦役逼勒我儕、我儕呼籲主我列祖之天主、主垂聽我聲、鑒我所受之困苦艱難暴虐、主遂以大能大威、異跡奇事、大而可畏之事、導我出伊及、導我至此、以此流乳與蜜之地賜我、主所賜我之地、今我攜其首熟之土產至、禱告既畢、遂以筐供於主爾之天主前、且於主爾之天主前崇拜、緣主爾之天主以福賜爾及爾眷屬、可欣喜歡樂、亦使利未人與寄居爾間之外邦客旅皆然、○

昔以色列人不尊崇真天主、無祭司訓誨、無律法、為日已久、

耶書亞、巴尼、示利比、雅民、亞谷、沙比太、何第雅、瑪西雅、基利他、亞撒利雅、約撒拔、哈難、毘萊雅、與利未人皆訓民、使明律法之意、民咸立於其所、朗誦天主律法之書、解說其義、使民洞悉所誦者、

當宣道、無論時之順否、皆專務之、凡事寛容而訓誨、以督責、警戒、勸勉、

爾之天主曰、爾當慰藉、慰藉我民、當以善言慰耶路撒冷、告之日、爾戰時已滿、爾罪已赦、因爾諸罪、已在主手受罰維倍、

夫永生者無他、即知爾為獨一真天主、且知耶穌基督爾所遣者、

昔天主命光由暗而照、今照於我心、以光照人、使其知天主之榮、即在基督面所顯者也、

以斯拉盡心考究主之律法而遵行之、又以律例法度誨以色列人、
