On the fourteenth day of the second month, one month later than usual, the people slaughtered the Passover lamb. This shamed the priests and Levites, so they purified themselves and brought burnt offerings to the Temple of the Lord.

又叫亲近我的祭司自洁，恐怕我忽然出来击杀他们。”

犹大王希西家赐给会众公牛一千只，羊七千只为祭物；众首领也赐给会众公牛一千只，羊一万只，并有许多的祭司洁净自己。

又按家谱计算，分给他们会中的妻子、儿女；因他们身供要职，自洁成圣。

耶和华又对摩西说：“你往百姓那里去，叫他们今天明天自洁，又叫他们洗衣服。

“人子啊，你要将这殿指示以色列家，使他们因自己的罪孽惭愧，也要他们量殿的尺寸。他们若因自己所行的一切事惭愧，你就将殿的规模、样式、出入之处，和一切形状、典章、礼仪、法则指示他们，在他们眼前写上，使他们遵照殿的一切规模典章去做。

起来聚集他们的弟兄，洁净自己，照着王的吩咐、耶和华的命令，进去洁净耶和华的殿。

当时，在那里所有的祭司都已自洁，并不分班供职。

你接待你姐姐和你妹妹的时候，你要追念你所行的，自觉惭愧；并且我要将她们赐你为女儿，却不是按着前约。我要坚定与你所立的约（你就知道我是耶和华），好使你在我赦免你一切所行的时候，心里追念，自觉抱愧，又因你的羞辱就不再开口。这是主耶和华说的。”
