And they slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed, so that they consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings into the house of the Lord.

On the fourteenth day of the second month, one month later than usual, the people slaughtered the Passover lamb. This shamed the priests and Levites, so they purified themselves and brought burnt offerings to the Temple of the Lord.

又叫那些亲近耶和华的祭司分别为圣，恐怕耶和华忽然击杀他们。”

犹大王希西家送给会众公牛一千头，羊七千只；众领袖也送给会众公牛一千头，羊一万只；并且有很多祭司自洁。

又按照家谱的登记，分给他们的全体的小孩、妻子和儿女，因为他们忠心地自洁成圣。

耶和华对摩西说：“你到人民那里去，要他们今天明天分别为圣，又要他们洗净自己的衣服；

“人子啊！你要把这殿指示以色列家，使他们因自己的罪孽而羞愧，又要他们量度殿的尺寸。他们若因自己所行的羞愧，你就要把殿的设计、结构、出入之处，以及一切设计、规条、礼仪、法则，都指示他们，在他们眼前写下来，使他们遵着殿的一切设计和规条去作。

集合他们的亲族，洁净自己，照着王的吩咐，根据耶和华的命令，进去洁净耶和华的殿。

众祭司从圣所里出来的时候（因为所有在场的祭司，不分班次地全都自洁），

你接纳你姊姊和你妹妹回来的时候，你就会想起你所行的，并要自觉惭愧；我要把她们赐给你作女儿，但这并不是出于我与你所立的约。我要坚立我与你所立的约，你就知道我是耶和华，好使你在我赦免你所行的一切时，就会回想，自觉惭愧，并且因你所受的羞辱不再开口。这是主耶和华的宣告。’”
