因我列祖干天上天主之怒、故天主以之付迦勒底人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手、毀斯殿宇、將民遷遷或作擄至巴比倫、

求主依主之仁慈、向主之邑耶路撒冷、及主之聖山、止忿息怒、今耶路撒冷及主之民、為四周鄰國凌辱、皆因我儕之罪惡、及我列祖之愆尤、

大瑪色人敗之、亞哈斯遂祭其神曰、亞蘭列王所敬之神助彼、我不如祭其神、或亦助我、亞哈斯祭其神、使己與以色列人陷禍愈深、亞哈斯集天主殿之諸器、毀天主殿之諸器、且封閉主殿之門、在耶路撒冷隨在隨在原文作諸隅築壇、在猶大諸邑立邱壇、焚香於異邦諸神、干主其列祖之天主震怒、

從以色列諸王所為、造偶像、奉事巴力、在便欣嫩谷焚香、昔主於以色列人前、驅逐異邦民行可憎之事、今亞哈斯效彼所行、焚獻其子、焚獻其子原文作使其子過於火又在邱壇、在山岡、在茂樹下、獻祭焚香、

我民作惡二端、我乃活水之源、彼反棄我而自鑿井、其井滲漏、不能存水、

先知曰、主歟、主賜我以力、護我如鞏固之城、我遇難之日、就主蒙庇、異邦人自地極而來、歸誠於主、曰、我祖所承受於古、皆浮偽虛無、毫無裨益、

爾往為我、為以色列及猶大之餘民、因此書之言、問於主、我列祖不守主之言、不遵此書所載而行、主必向我大震烈怒、

愛父母過於愛我者、不堪為我徒、愛子女過於愛我者、不堪為我徒、

又曰、若我在我祖時、必不與謀流先知之血、是爾自證爾為殺先知者之裔、盍盈爾祖之量歟、

我至大至能至可畏踐約施恩之天主歟、凡我列王、牧伯、祭司、先知、列祖、及主之民眾、自亞述列王之時、至於今日、所遭之患難、求主莫以為不足、
