你们要称谢耶和华，因他本是良善的，他的慈爱永远长存。

约沙法和人民商议好了，就指派向耶和华歌唱的人，使他们身穿圣洁的服饰，走在军队的前面，赞美耶和华，说：“你们要称颂耶和华，因他的慈爱永远长存。”

那火降下，耶和华的荣光停在殿上的时候，以色列众人都看见；于是他们在铺石地跪下，俯伏在地，敬拜称颂耶和华说：“耶和华是良善的，他的慈爱永远长存。”

因为在那里，掳掠我们的人要我们唱歌，苦待我们的人要我们娱乐他们；他们说：“为我们唱一首锡安歌吧！”我们怎能在异族之地唱耶和华的歌呢？
