我國之赤子、毋怠荒、蓋耶和華遴選爾曹、使立於前、供役焚香。

毋自欺也、上帝不可罔也、蓋所穫必觀所種、種以欲者、則所穡亦欲而敗壞、種以神者、則所穡亦神而永生、

當時耶和華、區別利未支派、使舁耶和華約匱、立於其前、以奉事之、籲其名而頌禱、即以今日之事為證。

可使利未族近前、侍於祭司亞倫側、而輔翼之、從事於會幕前、代亞倫及會眾、守所當守、守會幕之器、代以色列族、守所當守、從事於此。爾在以色列族中、必以利未人、悉畀亞倫及其子、使為助理。

爾及子孫、在法匱前、會幕中、供其役事、亦可取利未族諸兄弟、歸之於己、以為輔翼。助爾守會幕、惟不可近聖室、及祭壇器皿、恐爾與彼、俱致死亡。利未人可偕爾守會幕、供諸役事、外人勿近其前。聖室祭壇、爾當恪守、則以色列族免我震怒。我於以色列族中、取爾兄弟利未人、賜之於汝、以供會幕役事。爾及子孫、宜守祭司之職、壇前簾內、供其役事、蓋我畀爾為祭司、外人近前、必致死亡。○

耶和華使火出、燬其焚香者、二百五十人。○耶和華諭摩西曰、告祭司亞倫子以利亞撒、云、必取鼎於火中、傾其爇炭、蓋鼎已成聖、人雖犯法、自殞厥命、然其鼎嘗奉於我、故得成聖、當取其銅、擣之使薄、以飾祭壇、為以色列族、垂戒於後。奉火見燬之人、悉有銅鼎、祭司以利亞撒取焉、擣之使薄、以飾祭壇。為以色列族記誌、他人非亞倫之子孫則不得前、焚香以奉耶和華恐遭厥害、若哥喇及其黨然、遵耶和華所諭摩西之命。○

以色列族中、簡利未人、使之成潔、成潔之事、有常例焉。以贖罪之水灑之、使毫髮盡薙、濯衣成潔。取牡犢、為燔祭、和油之麵、為禮物、又取牡犢一、為贖罪祭。宜攜利未人、至會幕前、集以色列會眾、既攜利未人于我前、必使以色列族按手其上。亞倫奉利未人於我、為以色列族所獻、供我役事。利未人必按手於犢首、爾必獻犢、一為燔祭、一為贖罪祭、奉之於我、以贖其罪。爾必使利未人、立於亞倫及其子前、奉之於我、於是爾可區別利未人與以色列族、使之歸我。
