But a prophet of the Lord named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them,“ Because the Lord, the God of your ancestors, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven.

Oded, a prophet of the LORD, was there. He went to meet the army as they arrived in Samaria and said to them:“ Look, because the LORD God of your ancestors was angry with Judah he handed them over to you. You have killed them so mercilessly that God has taken notice.

But a prophet of Yahweh was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria, and said to them,“ Behold, because Yahweh, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he has delivered them into your hand, and you have slain them in a rage which has reached up to heaven.

我曾對我的子民發怒，使我的產業被褻瀆，我把他們交在你的手裡，你卻對他們毫無憐憫。你竟把你的軛，重重壓在老年人的身上。

主耶和華這樣說：“因為以東向猶大家報仇雪恨。他們這樣作，就犯了大罪。所以主耶和華這樣說：我必伸手攻擊以東，把人和牲畜都從其中剪除；我必使以東荒涼；從提幔直到底但，他們都要倒斃在刀下。我必藉著我子民以色列的手報復以東；以色列人必照著我的怒氣，按著我的烈怒對待以東，以東人就知道這是我的報復。這是主耶和華的宣告。”主耶和華這樣說：“因為非利士人向猶大人報仇雪恨，心存輕蔑報仇雪恨，他們永遠懷恨，要毀滅猶大，因此，主耶和華這樣說：看哪！我要伸手攻擊非利士人，剪除基利提人，消滅沿海剩下的人。我必怒責他們，向他們大施報復；我向他們報復的時候，他們就知道我是耶和華。”

因你對兄弟雅各行強暴，你必受羞辱，永被剪除。外地人劫掠雅各財物的日子，外族人進入他的城門，為耶路撒冷抽籤；那時你竟袖手旁觀，甚至好像他們中間的一分子！你兄弟遭遇禍患的日子，你不該看著不理；猶大人被滅的日子，你不該幸災樂禍；他們遭難的日子，你不該張口狂傲；我子民遭災的日子，你不該進入他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不該看著他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不該搶奪他們的財物。你不該站在岔路口，剪除他們中間逃脫的人；他們遭難的日子，你不該把他們生還的人交出來。耶和華的日子臨近萬國了，人必照你所行的向你施行，你的報應必歸到你的頭上。你們怎樣在我的聖山上喝過苦杯，萬國也必照樣不住地喝，他們要喝，並且要吞下去，他們就不再存在了。

因此，耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，把他們完全交在兩河之間的亞蘭王古珊．利薩田的手中；以色列人服事了古珊．利薩田八年。

先知對王說：“耶和華這樣說：因為你把我要滅絕的人從你手中放走，所以要你替他償命。要你的人民抵償他的人民。”

後來，以賽亞先知來到希西家王那裡，對他說：“這些人說了些甚麼？他們是從哪裡來見你的呢？”希西家說：“他們是從遙遠的巴比倫來見我的。”以賽亞說：“他們在你宮中看到了甚麼呢？”希西家說：“我宮中的一切，他們都看見了。在我寶庫內的，我沒有一樣不給他們看的。”

他們又說：“來，我們建一座城，造一座塔，塔頂要通天。我們要為自己立名，免得分散在全地上。”

因此，耶和華他的神把他交在亞蘭王手裡；亞蘭王擊敗了他，擄走了他很多人民，帶到大馬士革去。神又把他交在以色列王手裡，以色列王就在猶大進行大屠殺。

那先知前來見以色列王，對他說：“你要自強，留意看看你所要預備的，因為明年春天亞蘭王必再上來攻擊你。”

“人子啊！因為推羅論到耶路撒冷說：‘哈哈！那萬族的門已經破壞了，向我打開了；我必得豐滿，她卻成了荒場！’所以主耶和華這樣說：‘推羅啊！我要與你為敵；我必叫多國上來攻擊你，好像海使波浪湧上來一樣。

亞述啊！我怒氣的棍子，有禍了。他們手中拿著我忿怒的杖。我要差派他去攻擊一個不敬虔的國，吩咐他去攻擊我惱怒的子民，擄去掠物，搶奪擄物，把他們踐踏，像街上的泥土一樣。但亞述並沒有這樣想過，他心裡也沒有這樣打算；他心裡倒想毀滅、剪除多國。

因為他們迫害你所擊打的人，嘲笑你所擊傷的人的痛苦。

我沒有坐在歡笑者的集會中一同歡樂；因為你的手在我身上，你使我滿了忿怒，我就獨自靜坐。我的痛苦為甚麼長久不止呢？我的創傷為甚麼無法醫治，不得痊愈呢？你對我真的像叫人失望、靠不住的溪流嗎？

猶大王約沙法平平安安回到耶路撒冷自己的王宮裡去。先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎見約沙法王，對他說：“你怎能幫助惡人，喜愛那恨惡耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的忿怒必臨到你身上。

因此，耶和華向亞瑪謝發怒，於是差派一位先知去見他，對他說：“這民族的神不能拯救自己的人民脫離你的手，你為甚麼還尋求它們呢？”先知向王講話的時候，王對他說：“我們立了你作王的謀士嗎？住口吧！你要挨打嗎？”先知就住口，可是又說：“我知道神已定意消滅你，因為你作了這事，又不聽從我的勸戒。”

耶和華說：“你作了甚麼事呢？你弟弟的血有聲音從地裡向我呼叫。

這時，忽然有一個先知前來見以色列王亞哈，說：“耶和華這樣說：‘你看見這些強大的軍兵嗎？看啊，今天我必把他們交在你手裡，你就知道我是耶和華。’”
