封鎖廊門，吹滅燈火，不在聖所中向以色列神燒香，或獻燔祭。

他們起來，把耶路撒冷的祭壇和燒香的壇盡都除去，拋在汲淪溪中。

重新建築他父希西家所拆毀的邱壇，又為巴力築壇，做木偶，且敬拜事奉天上的萬象，在耶和華的殿宇中築壇－耶和華曾指着這殿說：「我的名必永遠在耶路撒冷。」他在耶和華殿的兩院中為天上的萬象築壇，

亞哈斯王打掉盆座四面鑲着的心子，把盆從座上挪下來，又將銅海從馱海的銅牛上搬下來，放在鋪石地；又因亞述王的緣故，將耶和華殿為安息日所蓋的廊子和王從外入殿的廊子挪移，圍繞耶和華的殿。

耶和華殿的銅柱，並耶和華殿的盆座和銅海，迦勒底人都打碎了，將那銅運到巴比倫去了，又帶去鍋、鏟子、蠟剪、調羹，並所用的一切銅器，火鼎、碗，無論金的銀的，護衛長也都帶去了。所羅門為耶和華殿所造的兩根銅柱、一個銅海，和幾個盆座，這一切的銅，多得無法可稱。這一根柱子高十八肘，柱上有銅頂，高三肘；銅頂的周圍有網子和石榴，都是銅的。那一根柱子，照此一樣，也有網子。

你為自己做的神在哪裏呢？你遭遇患難的時候，叫他們起來拯救你吧！猶大啊，你神的數目與你城的數目相等。

元年正月，開了耶和華殿的門，重新修理。

保羅在雅典等候他們的時候，看見滿城都是偶像，就心裏着急；

基列人沒有罪孽嗎？他們全然是虛假的。人在吉甲獻牛犢為祭，他們的祭壇好像田間犂溝中的亂堆。

我遊行的時候，觀看你們所敬拜的，遇見一座壇，上面寫着『未識之神』。你們所不認識而敬拜的，我現在告訴你們。
