But a man of God came to him and said,“ Your Majesty, these troops from Israel must not march with you, for the Lord is not with Israel— not with any of the people of Ephraim.

However, a man of God came to him and said,“ King, do not let Israel’s army go with you, for the LORD is not with Israel— all the Ephraimites.

But a man of God came to him saying,“ O king, do not let the army of Israel come with you, for the Lord is not with Israel nor with any of the sons of Ephraim.

But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for Jehovah is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.

And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore the wrath of the Lord is upon you.

Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him:“ There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor.

Just as I saw Ephraim like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place, So Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.”

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

“ When Ephraim saw his sickness, And Judah saw his wound, Then Ephraim went to Assyria And sent to King Jareb; Yet he cannot cure you, Nor heal you of your wound.For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, And like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear them and go away; I will take them away, and no one shall rescue.I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”

And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

Therefore the king asked advice, made two calves of gold, and said to the people,“ It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up from the land of Egypt!”

Now look, God Himself is with us as our head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!”

Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, Whose glorious beauty is a fading flower Which is at the head of the verdant valleys, To those who are overcome with wine!Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, Like a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, Like a flood of mighty waters overflowing, Who will bring them down to the earth with His hand.The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, Will be trampled underfoot;

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
