君王啊，要慎思明辨！世上的統治者啊，要接受勸誡！要以敬畏的心事奉耶和華，要喜樂也要戰戰兢兢。

耶何耶大死後，猶大眾首領來朝拜王，王對他們言聽計從。他們離棄他們祖先的上帝耶和華的殿，去供奉亞舍拉神像及其他偶像。因他們所犯的罪，上帝的烈怒臨到猶大和耶路撒冷。

伸冤在我，我必報應，到時候他們必站不住腳，他們遭禍的日子近了，他們的末日來了。』

我曾說你們都是神，都是至高者的兒子，但你們要跟世人一樣死去，像人間的王侯一樣滅亡。」

先知又來見以色列王，說：「你要加強防衛，做好準備，因為明年春天亞蘭王必捲土重來。」

義人必因惡人遭報而歡欣，並用惡人的血洗腳。這樣，人們必說：「義人終有善報，確實有一位審判天下的上帝。」

第二年春天，便·哈達召集亞蘭人進軍亞弗，攻打以色列人。
