獻燔祭畢。耶戶命趨承者及其長曰、入而殺拜巴力之人、勿遺其一。趨承者及其長、以刃擊眾、擲尸於外、後入巴力內殿、攜諸偶像、出而焚之。毀巴力之像、摧其殿宇、以之為廁、迄今猶存、堪以為證。於是耶戶滅巴力在以色列地。

萬有之主耶和華曰、當是日我必棄偶像於斯土、使人頓忘其名、亦必使感邪神之先知、驅逐於斯、如有人欲為偽先知、則其父母、必責之曰、爾托耶和華之名而妄言、必不得生、而其父母、必手刃之、

廢諸崇坵、毀其像、斫其偶、昔摩西所作之銅蛇、迄今以色列人焚香以奉事。希西家曰、此無非為尼忽旦耳、遂碎之。
