Through Ahaziah’s visit to Joram, God brought about Ahaziah’s downfall. When Ahaziah arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.

Through Ahaziah’s visit to Joram, God caused Ahaziah to fall from power. When Ahaziah arrived, he rode out with Joram to meet Jehu, the son of Nimshi. The Lord had anointed Jehu to destroy the royal family of Ahab.

But it was ordained by God that the downfall of Ahaziah should come about through his going to visit Joram. For when he came there, he went out with Jehoram to meet Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.

But God had decided that this visit would be Ahaziah’s downfall. While he was there, Ahaziah went out with Joram to meet Jehu grandson of Nimshi, whom the Lord had appointed to destroy the dynasty of Ahab.

Ahaziah’s downfall came from God when he went to Joram. When Ahaziah arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.

王不听从人民的要求，这事原是出于神，为要实现耶和华藉着示罗人亚希雅对尼八的儿子耶罗波安所说的话。

约兰就说：“备车。”他们就为他备了车。以色列王约兰和犹大王亚哈谢出城，他们各自乘坐战车出去见耶户，就在耶斯列人拿伯的田间遇上了他。

以利沙先知唤来一位先知门徒，对他说：“你要束上腰，手里拿着这瓶膏油，到基列的拉末去。你到了那里，要在那里寻找宁示的孙子、约沙法的儿子耶户。你要去，请他从他的兄弟中起来，然后把他带进一个密室。你要拿着这瓶膏油，把油倒在他的头上，说：“耶和华这样说：‘我膏立你作王统治以色列。’然后，你要开门逃跑，不可停留。”于是那年轻的先知往基列的拉末去了。他到了那里，看见军队的将领都坐在那里。他就说：“将军，我有话要对你说。”耶户说：“我们这里所有的人，你要对哪一个说话呢？”他说：“将军，我要对你说。”耶户就起来，进了屋子；先知门徒就把油倒在耶户的头上，对他说：“以色列的神耶和华这样说：‘我膏立你作王，统治耶和华的人民以色列。你要击杀你的主人亚哈的家。我要为我仆人众先知的血和所有耶和华的仆人的血，在耶洗别身上报仇。

耶和华已经把自己显明，又施行了审判；恶人被自己手所作的缠住了。（希迦庸、细拉）

我从起初就宣告末后的事，从古时就述说还未作成的事，说：‘我的计划必定成功，我所喜悦的，我都必作成。’

万军之耶和华说：“你们必践踏恶人；在我施行作为的日子，他们必在你们脚掌之下成为尘土。

谁是智慧人，让他明白这些事吧！谁是有见识的人，让他领会这一切吧！因为耶和华的道路是正直的，义人要行在其中，恶人却必在其上绊倒。

王不肯听从民众的请求，因为这个转变是出于耶和华，为要应验他藉示罗人亚希雅对尼八的儿子耶罗波安所说的话。

他的父母却不知道这事是出于耶和华，因为他正在找机会攻击非利士人。那时非利士人正统治着以色列人。

等到他们失足的时候，我要伸冤报应；因为他们遭遇灾难的日子近了，那预备要临到他们身上的事，必快快临到。

耶和华说：‘谁去引诱亚哈，使他上基列的拉末阵亡呢？’有说这样的，有说那样的。

又要膏宁示的孙子耶户作以色列王，还要膏亚伯．米何拉人沙法的儿子以利沙接续你作先知。
