说：‘王这样吩咐：把这人囚在监里，少给他食物和水，直到我平平安安回来。’”

『王如此說：把這個人下在監裏，使他受苦，吃不飽喝不足，等候我平平安安地回來。』」

告訴他們，『王說，要把這人關進監牢，只給他一些餅和水，直到我平安地回來。』」

說：‘王這樣吩咐：把這人囚在監裡，少給他食物和水，直到我平平安安回來。’”

告之曰、王命拘此夫於獄、食以艱苦之餅、飲以艱苦之水、待我安歸、

告之曰、王命拘幽此人、供餅給水、使嘗艱苦、迨我安歸。

告之曰、王命以此人拘於獄、加以艱苦、不使之食足飲足、原文作使之少食餅少飲水直待我安然而歸、

and say,‘ This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’”

Tell them,‘ The king says,“ Put this fellow in prison. Don’t give him anything but bread and water until I return safely.” ’ ”

and say,‘ Thus says the king, Put this fellow in prison and feed him with meager rations of bread and water until I return in peace.’”

Give them this order from the king:‘ Put this man in prison, and feed him nothing but bread and water until I return safely from the battle!’”

and say,‘ This is what the king says: Put this guy in prison and feed him only a little bread and water until I come back safely.’”

and say,‘ This is what the king says:“ Put this man in prison, and feed him enough bread and water to survive until I return safely.” ’ ”

and say,‘ Thus says the king:“ Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I return in peace.”’”

亞撒惱恨先見，為了這事向他發怒，將他囚在監裏。那時亞撒也虐待一些百姓。

大衛曾說：「我在曠野為那人看守他一切所有的，以致他未失去任何一樣東西，實在是徒然了！他竟然向我以惡報善。

因為你們自己明明知道，主的日子來到會像賊在夜間突然來到一樣。人正說平安穩定的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同陣痛臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕逃脫不了。

但法利賽人聽見，就說：「這個人趕鬼，無非是靠着鬼王別西卜罷了。」

要歡喜快樂，因為你們在天上的賞賜是很多的。在你們以前的先知，人也是這樣迫害他們。」

王對他說：「我要你發誓多少次，你才會奉耶和華的名向我說實話呢？」

他們開始控告他說：「我們見這人煽惑我們的國民，禁止我們納稅給凱撒，並說自己是基督，是王。」

以色列王說：「把米該雅帶走，交回給亞們市長和約阿施王子，你們要說：『王如此說，把這個人關在監獄裏，使他受苦，吃不飽喝不足，直等到我平安回來。』」米該雅說：「你若真的能平安回來，那就是耶和華沒有藉我說這話了。」他又說：「眾百姓啊，你們都要聽！」

他的路時常亨通，你的審判不在他眼裏。至於他所有的敵人，他都向他們發怒氣。

這樣的人聽見這詛咒的話，心裏還慶幸，說：『我雖然隨着頑固的心行事，卻還是平安無事。』以致有水的和無水的都消滅了。

就下手拿住使徒，把他們押在公共拘留所內。

就打耶利米先知，用耶和華殿裏上便雅憫門內的枷鎖，把他鎖在那裏。次日，巴施戶珥開枷釋放耶利米。於是耶利米對他說：「耶和華不叫你的名為巴施戶珥，而叫你瑪歌珥‧米撒畢，

主雖然以艱難給你當餅，以困苦給你當水，你的教師卻不再隱藏，你的眼睛必看見你的教師。

他們是基督的用人嗎？我說句狂話，我更是。我比他們忍受更多勞苦，坐過更多次監牢，受過無數次的鞭打，常常冒死。

眾人聽他說到這句話，就高聲說：「這樣的人，從地上除掉他吧！他是該死的。」

智慧人有所懼怕，就遠離惡事；愚昧人卻狂傲自恃。

住在地上的人會因他們而歡喜快樂，互相饋送禮物，因為這兩位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。

我吃灰燼如同吃飯，我喝的有眼淚攙雜。

你以眼淚當食物給他們吃，量出滿碗的眼淚給他們喝。

希律分封王，因他兄弟之妻希羅底的緣故，並因他所做的一切惡事，受了約翰的責備。希律在一切事上又添了這一件，就是把約翰收在監裏。
