The king of Israel then ordered,“ Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king’s son,

Then the king of Israel gave an order. He said,“ Take Micaiah away. Send him back to Amon. Amon is the ruler of the city of Samaria. And send Micaiah back to Joash. Joash is a member of the royal court.

And the king of Israel said,“ Seize Micaiah and take him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son,

“ Arrest him!” the king of Israel ordered.“ Take him back to Amon, the governor of the city, and to my son Joash.

保羅講論公義、節制和將來的審判，腓力斯害怕起來，就回答：「你暫且去吧！等我有機會時再來叫你。」腓力斯又指望保羅送他銀錢，所以屢次叫他來，和他談論。過了兩年，波求‧非斯都接了腓力斯的任；腓力斯要討猶太人的喜歡，就把保羅留在監裏。

官長們惱怒耶利米，打了他，把他囚在約拿單文士的房屋中，因為他們把這屋子當作監牢。耶利米來到地牢，進入牢房，在那裏拘留多日。西底家王差人提他出來，在自己的宮內私下問他說：「有甚麼話從耶和華臨到沒有？」耶利米說：「有！」又說：「你必被交在巴比倫王手中。」耶利米又對西底家王說：「我在甚麼事上得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這百姓，你們竟將我囚在監裏呢？對你們預言『巴比倫王必不來攻擊你們和這地』的先知在哪裏呢？主－我的王啊，現在求你垂聽，允准我在你面前的懇求：不要把我送回約拿單文士的房屋中，免得我死在那裏。」於是西底家王下令，他們就把耶利米交在護衛兵的院中，每天從餅店街取一個餅給他，直到城中所有的餅都用盡了。這樣，耶利米仍逗留在護衛兵的院中。

他們就拿住耶利米，把他丟在王的兒子瑪基雅的井裏；那口井在護衛兵的院中。他們用繩子把耶利米縋下去，井裏沒有水，只有淤泥，耶利米就陷在淤泥中。在王宮裏的太監古實人以伯‧米勒，聽見他們把耶利米丟進井裏，那時王坐在便雅憫門前。

約西亞王十八年，這地和殿潔淨了之後，他派亞薩利雅的兒子沙番、瑪西雅市長、約哈斯的兒子約亞史官去整修耶和華－他神的殿。
