Instead, Jehoshaphat obeyed the God of his father. He obeyed the Lord’ s commands instead of the practices of Israel.

Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.

He ordained whoever so desired it, and they became priests of the high places.This was the sin that caused the house of Jeroboam to be wiped out and annihilated from the face of the earth.

He offered sacrifices on the altar he had set up in Bethel on the fifteenth day of the eighth month. He chose this month on his own. He made a festival for the Israelites, offered sacrifices on the altar, and burned incense.

This led to sin; the people walked in procession before one of the calves all the way to Dan.
