The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the ways of his father David before him. He did not consult the Baals

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat. That’s because he lived the way King David had lived. He didn’t ask for advice from the gods that were named Baal.

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals,

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father’s early years and did not worship the images of Baal.

The LORD was with Jehoshaphat because he followed in his ancestor David’s footsteps at the beginning of his reign. He did not seek the Baals,

He did what was right in the Lord’s sight and walked in all the ways of his ancestor David; he did not turn to the right or the left.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or forsake you.

Devise a plan; it will fail. Make a prediction; it will not happen. For God is with us.

He did what was right in the Lord’s sight just as his ancestor David had done.

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them.”

Then the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said:“ The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

So he went out to meet Asa and said to him,“ Asa and all Judah and Benjamin, hear me. The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.

Lord, remember David and all the hardships he endured,and how he swore an oath to the Lord, making a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:“ I will not enter my house or get into my bed,I will not allow my eyes to sleep or my eyelids to slumberuntil I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name Him Immanuel, which is translated“ God is with us.”

He answered,“ I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.

How can you protest,“ I am not defiled; I have not followed the Baals”? Look at your behavior in the valley; acknowledge what you have done. You are a swift young camel twisting and turning on her way,

When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Azariah son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He renovated the altar of the Lord that was in front of the portico of the Lord’s temple.Then he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, as well as those from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them, for they had defected to him from Israel in great numbers when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.They were gathered in Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.At that time they sacrificed to the Lord 700 cattle and 7,000 sheep from all the plunder they had brought.Then they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their ancestors with all their mind and all their heart.Whoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel would be put to death, young or old, man or woman.

Solomon did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, and unlike his father David, he did not completely follow Yahweh.

So David reigned over all Israel, administering justice and righteousness for all his people.

David became more and more powerful, and the Lord God of Hosts was with him.

“ The Lord your God is with you, isn’t He? And hasn’t He given you rest on every side? For He has handed the land’s inhabitants over to me, and the land has been subdued before the Lord and His people.

Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Abijam walked in all the sins his father before him had committed, and he was not completely devoted to the Lord his God as his ancestor David had been.But because of David, the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem to raise up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem.

Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for the Israelites, the Lord was with him and saved the people from the power of their enemies while the judge was still alive. The Lord was moved to pity whenever they groaned because of those who were oppressing and afflicting them.

Asa did what was good and right in the sight of the Lord his God.He removed the pagan altars and the high places. He shattered their sacred pillars and chopped down their Asherah poles.He told the people of Judah to seek the Lord God of their ancestors and to carry out the instruction and the commands.He also removed the high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah, and the kingdom experienced peace under him.

Then Asa cried out to the Lord his God:“ Lord, there is no one besides You to help the mighty and those without strength. Help us, Lord our God, for we depend on You, and in Your name we have come against this large army. Yahweh, You are our God. Do not let a mere mortal hinder You.”

The Israelites did what was evil in the Lord’s sight. They worshiped the Baals

When Gideon died, the Israelites turned and prostituted themselves with the Baals and made Baal-berith their god.

Ahaz was 20 years old when he became king and reigned 16 years in Jerusalem. He did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord his God like his ancestor David

The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, serving in the household of his Egyptian master.When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made everything he did successful,

But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him. He granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.

He did what was right in the Lord’s sight, but not like his ancestor David. He did everything his father Joash had done.
