but sin, finding occasion, wrought in me through the commandment all manner of coveting: for apart from the law sin is dead.And I was alive apart from the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died;

The bishop therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober- minded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet they lean upon Jehovah, and say, Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? no evil shall come upon us.
