King Asa also deposed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother, because she had made a repulsive image for the worship of Asherah. Asa cut it down, broke it up and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

King Asa also removed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother. That’s because she had made a pole used to worship the female god named Asherah. The Lord hated it. So Asa cut it down. He broke it up. He burned it in the Kidron Valley.

Even Maacah, his mother, King Asa removed from being queen mother because she had made a detestable image for Asherah. Asa cut down her image, crushed it, and burned it at the brook Kidron.

并且废除他祖母玛迦太后的后位，因为她为亚舍拉做了可怕的偶像。亚撒把她那可怕的偶像砍下来，在汲沦溪旁烧掉。只是邱坛还没有废去；不过亚撒一生都完完全全归向耶和华。亚撒把他父亲所分别为圣和他自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿，都带到耶和华的殿里。亚撒与以色列王巴沙在世的日子，双方常有战争。以色列王巴沙上来攻击犹大，修筑拉玛，不准人进出到犹大王亚撒那里。于是亚撒把耶和华殿和王宫的府库里所剩下的金银，都交在他臣仆的手中。亚撒王差派他们到大马士革的亚兰王，希旬的孙子、他伯利们的儿子便．哈达那里去，说：“你父与我父之间曾经立过约，我也要与你立约。现在我把金银送给你作礼物，请你去废除与以色列王巴沙所立的约，好使他离开我。”便．哈达听从亚撒王的话，派遣他的众军长去攻击以色列的各城。他们攻破了以云、但、亚伯．伯．玛迦、基尼烈全境和拿弗他利全地。巴沙听见了，就停止修筑拉玛，仍然留在得撒。于是亚撒王通告犹大众人，没有一个人例外。他们就把巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头和木料运走；亚撒王用那些材料来修筑便雅悯的迦巴和米斯巴。亚撒其余的一切事迹，他的英勇事迹，他所行的一切和他所建造的众城，不是都写在犹大列王的年代志上吗？可是他年老的时候，脚上却患了病。亚撒与他的列祖同睡，与他的列祖一同埋葬在他祖大卫的城里，他的儿子约沙法接续他作王。

他在耶路撒冷作王三年，他的母亲名叫玛迦，是押沙龙的女儿。

他们的祭坛你们却要拆毁，他们的柱像你们要打碎，他们的亚舍拉你们要砍下。

此外，甚至在伯特利的祭坛和那使以色列人陷于罪中的尼八的儿子耶罗波安所做的邱坛，他都拆毁焚烧，压碎成灰，又把亚舍拉烧了。

他把亚舍拉像从耶和华殿里搬走，拿到耶路撒冷外的汲沦溪去，在汲沦溪把它烧毁，磨碎成灰，把灰撒在平民的坟墓上。

他拆毁了祭坛，把亚舍拉和雕刻的偶像打碎，破碎了以色列全地所有的香坛，就回耶路撒冷去了。

如果有人再说预言，他的亲生父母必对他说：‘你不该活着，因为你奉耶和华的名说谎。’他说预言的时候，他的亲生父母必把他刺死。

又把他们所做的那牛犊拿过来，用火焚烧，磨到粉碎，撒在水面上，让以色列人喝。

摩西对他们说：“耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你们各人要把自己的剑佩在大腿上，在营中往来行走，从这门到那门；你们各人要杀自己的兄弟、邻舍和亲人。’”利未的子孙照着摩西的话作了；那一天，人民中被杀的约有三千人。

亚撒行耶和华他的神看为善为正的事。（本节在《马索拉文本》为14:1）他除掉外族人的祭坛和邱坛，打断神柱，砍下亚舍拉，吩咐犹大人寻求耶和华他们列祖的神，遵行他的律法和诫命。他又在犹大各城中，除掉邱坛和香坛。那时全国在他的统治下享受太平。

“你的同母兄弟或你的儿女，你怀中的妻子或视你如自己性命的朋友，如果暗中引诱你，说：‘我们去事奉别的神吧。’就是你和你的列祖向来不认识的，是你们周围各族的神，无论是离你近的，或是离你远的神；从地这边直到地那边的神，你都不可依从他，也不可听从他；你的眼不可顾惜他，你不可怜悯他，也不可袒护他；

你们却要这样待他们：拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的神柱，砍下他们的亚舍拉，用火焚烧他们的雕像。

他又把亚哈斯的楼房顶上，犹大列王所做的祭坛，和玛拿西在耶和华殿的两院中所做的祭坛拆毁，就地打碎，把它们的灰尘倒进汲沦溪去。

所以，从今以后，我们不再按照人的看法认识人；虽然我们曾经按照人的看法认识基督，但现在不再这样了。

我把你们的罪，就是你们铸造的牛犊，拿去用火烧了，又把它捣碎，磨成细粉，像灰尘一样；我把这灰尘撒在从山上流下来的溪水中。

利未人论到自己的父母说：‘我没有看顾他们’；他不承认自己的兄弟，也不认识自己的儿女；因为他们谨守你的话，持守你的约。

耶稣的母亲和弟弟来了，站在外面，传话给他，叫他出来。有许多人正围坐在耶稣身边，他们告诉他：“你看，你的母亲和弟弟（有些抄本在此有“姊妹”一词）在外面找你。”耶稣回答他们：“谁是我的母亲，我的弟兄呢？”于是四面观看那些围坐的人，说：“你们看，我的母亲！我的弟兄！凡遵行神旨意的，就是我的弟兄姊妹和母亲了。”

那些和他在一起的人听见了，就出来抓住他，因为他们说他癫狂了。

我必毁坏你们的邱坛，砍倒你们的香坛，把你们的尸体扔在你们仆倒的偶像上面；我的心必厌弃你们。

他们的神像，你们要用火焚烧；神像上的金银，你不可贪爱，也不可据为己有，免得你因此陷入网罗；因为这是耶和华你的神厌恶的。可厌恶的物，你不可带进家里去，免得你与那物一样成了当毁灭的；你要非常憎恨它，十分厌恶它，因为这是当毁灭的物。”
