All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side.

耶何耶大在己與民及王之間立約、使民為主之民、民眾往巴力殿、毀殿及其中諸壇、又碎其諸偶像、將巴力之祭司瑪坦殺於壇前、耶何耶大循昔大衛在主殿所定之班列、令祭司及利未人盡主殿之職、遵摩西律法所載、獻火焚祭於主、又循大衛所定之例、獻祭之時、歡呼謳歌、命守門者、守主殿諸門、使凡不潔者不得入、自率百夫長、諸大夫、民間牧伯、及國之民眾、請王自主殿而下、由崇門入王宮、以坐國位、國民歡樂、闔邑平康、因亞他利雅已被殺矣、

我宣命、未嘗在隱秘處、在幽暗地、未曾謂雅各裔曰、爾求我徒然、我乃主、所言者乃仁義、所告者乃誠實、

我際兩難之間、願逝世而與基督同在、是為愈美、

天主賜人綏安、誰能擾亂、天主若掩面、誰能覲之、其待一國待一人皆如是、

亦使利未人與寄居爾間之外邦客旅皆然、○

主歟、我仰望主行審鞫之道、我中心慕主之名、切切念主、

今我有意立約、必歸主以色列之天主、或作今我有意與主以色列之天主立約或主向我息怒、

主使以色列人四周平康、所有之敵、皆已鎮服、歷日既久、約書亞壽高年邁、

此國與彼國互相攻擊、此邑與彼邑亦然、蓋天主降諸災以亂之、

出迎亞撒謂之曰、亞撒、及猶大人、便雅憫人、須聽我言、如爾從主、主必祐爾、如爾尋求主、主必為爾所得、如爾棄主、主必棄爾、

民聞律法之言咸哭、方伯尼希米、為祭司之文士以斯拉、與訓民之利未人、告民曰、今乃主爾天主之聖日、勿悲哀哭泣、

其道安樂、其徑平康、

爾曹善人、當因主歡欣快樂、凡心中正直之人、皆當歡呼、

主之法律、至公至義、我發誓遵守、我必按誓而行、

我將主之法度、以為永業、因此法度令我心悅、
