All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side.

All the people of Judah were happy about the promise they had made. They turned to God with all their heart. When they did, they found him. So the Lord gave them peace and rest on every side.

我沒有在隱秘處暗暗地說話，我沒有對雅各的後裔說，『你們找不到我。』我耶和華宣揚真理，傳講正義。

我處在兩難之間。我情願離開世界，與基督在一起，那實在是再好不過了。

但祂若保持緘默，誰能定祂有罪？祂若掩起臉來，誰能看得見祂？個人和國家都靠祂垂顧，

你們和利未人以及住在你們中間的外族人，都要因你們的上帝耶和華賜給你們和你們家人的美物而歡喜快樂。

耶和華啊，我們等候你，遵從你的法令，我們心裡渴慕尊崇你的名。

現在我決心要與以色列的上帝耶和華立約，好使祂的烈怒轉離我們。

此後很長時間，耶和華使以色列人四境太平，沒有戰事。約書亞年事已高，

邦國與邦國、城邑與城邑互相攻擊破壞，因為上帝用各樣的災難擾亂他們。

他便出來迎接亞撒，對他說：「亞撒啊，所有的猶大人和便雅憫人啊，請聽我說！你們若順從耶和華，祂必與你們同在。你們若尋求祂，祂必讓你們尋見。你們若背棄祂，祂必離棄你們。

全體民眾聽到律法書上的話都哭了。尼希米省長、律法教師以斯拉祭司和教導民眾的利未人對他們說：「今天是你們上帝耶和華的聖日，不要悲哀、哭泣。」

她的路上有福樂，她的道上有平安。

義人啊，你們要靠耶和華歡喜快樂；心地正直的人啊，你們都要歡呼。

我曾經起誓，我必信守諾言：我要遵行你公義的法令。

你的法度永遠是我的寶貴產業，是我喜樂的泉源。
