於是人民都吶喊，祭司們也吹了號角。人民一聽見了號角聲，便大聲吶喊，那城牆就當場陷落，人民便上城，各人往前直上，攻取那城。

到了第七次、祭司們吹了號角，約書亞就對人民說：『吶喊；永恆主已經把城交給你們了。

永恆主的使者就出來，在亞述營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；第二天早晨、人清早起來，只見都是死屍。

我和所有跟隨我的人吹號角時，你們也要在全營四圍吹號角，喊叫說：「為永恆主！為基甸！」』基甸和跟隨他的一百人、在半夜更之初、剛剛換更的時候、來到營的儘邊，就吹號角，擊破手中的瓶。三隊的人就都吹號角，打破瓶子，左手握着火把，右手握着號角好吹；他們都喊叫說：『有刀為永恆主，為基甸！』他們在營的四圍各站各的地方；全營的人都亂竄；又吶喊，又逃跑。三百人把三百枝號角吹了起來，永恆主使各人的刀在全營中互相擊殺；他們向西利拉逃到伯哈示他，直到亞伯米何拉河邊，靠近他巴。

願敬畏永恆主的說：他堅固的愛永遠長存。我從困苦中呼求永恆主，他就應了我，把我安置於寬闊之地。有永恆主在為我，我不懼怕；人能把我怎麼樣呢？有永恆主在為我，在幫助我，我總會看見恨我的人遭報。

永恆主用刀使西西拉和所有的車輛跟軍兵都在巴拉面前潰亂；西西拉下車，步行逃跑。

約沙法既和眾民商議好了，就設立那些該向永恆主歌唱的人，使他們用聖別的威儀來讚美，在武裝的人前面出發，唱着說：『你們要稱謝永恆主，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存。』

亞蘭王的軍長乃縵在他的主上面前是個大人物，受人景仰，很有體面，因為永恆主曾藉着他使亞蘭人得勝；這人呢、是個有力氣英勇的人，卻患了痲瘋屬之病。

萬族之民哪、你們都要拍掌；要用呼勝的聲音歡呼頌讚上帝。

永恆主將他們交在以色列人手裏；以色列人擊敗了他們，追趕他們、到大西頓、到米斯利弗瑪音、直到東邊的米斯巴平原，擊殺他們，殺到沒有給他們剩下一個殘存的。

是永恆主在以色列會眾面前所攻取之地，是可牧放牲畜之地；你僕人也有牲畜。』
