於是耶和華在亞撒和猶大人面前，使古實人大敗，古實人就逃跑。

神在歡呼聲中上升，耶和華在號角聲中上升。

於是人民呼喊，祭司也吹角。人民聽見角聲的時候，就大聲呼喊，城牆就塌陷了；於是，人民衝入城中，人人向前，把城攻取。

到了第七次，祭司吹角的時候，約書亞就對人民說：“你們呼喊吧，因為耶和華已經把這城賜給你們了。

於是耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；到了早晨，有人起來，所見的都是死屍。

我和所有與我在一起的人吹角的時候，你們也要在全營的四周吹角，喊叫說：‘為耶和華！為基甸！’”基甸和所有與他在一起的一百人，在半夜三更的起初，換更的時候，來到了營的邊緣，就吹起角來，打破手中的瓦瓶。三隊的人就都吹角，打破瓦瓶，左手緊握著火把，右手緊握著角不住地吹，並且喊叫說：“耶和華和基甸的刀！”他們在營的四周各站在自己的位置；全營的人都亂跑，他們一面叫喊，一面逃跑。三百人吹那三百枝角的時候，耶和華使全營的人用刀互相擊殺，然後他們向著西利拉逃到伯．哈示他，直到靠近他巴的亞伯．米何拉河邊。

願敬畏耶和華的說：“他的慈愛永遠長存。”我在急難中求告耶和華，他就應允我，使我站在寬闊之地。耶和華是我的幫助，我決不害怕，人能把我怎麼樣呢？耶和華是我的幫助，我必看見恨我的人遭報。

耶和華用刀使西西拉和所有的車輛與全軍，都在巴拉面前潰亂；西西拉下了車，步行逃跑。

約沙法和人民商議好了，就指派向耶和華歌唱的人，使他們身穿聖潔的服飾，走在軍隊的前面，讚美耶和華，說：“你們要稱頌耶和華，因他的慈愛永遠長存。”

亞蘭王的軍長乃縵在他的主人面前是一個大人物，很得王的賞識，因為耶和華曾藉他把勝利賜給亞蘭。這個人是個勇猛的戰士，可惜他是個痲風病人。

萬民哪！你們都要鼓掌，要向神歡聲呼喊；

耶和華把他們交在以色列人手裡，以色列人就擊殺他們，追趕他們直到西頓大城、米斯利弗．瑪音，以及在東邊的米斯巴谷；以色列人擊殺他們，沒有留下一個。

就是耶和華在以色列會眾面前攻取的地，是可牧放牲畜的地，你僕人也有牲畜。”
