希西家就把永恆主殿裏和王宮府庫裏所有的銀子都交出。那時猶大王希西家將永恆主殿堂門上的金子、和他自己包在門柱上的金子都刮下來、給了亞述王。

羅波安王五年、埃及王示撒上來攻打耶路撒冷；奪取永恆主之殿的寶物、和王宮的寶物：所有的盡都奪取；又把所羅門所造的一切金盾牌也奪了去。羅波安王造了銅的盾牌去代替那些金盾牌，交在看守王宮門的衛兵長手裏。王每逢進永恆主的殿，衛兵總拿起這些盾牌來，隨後又送回守衛室裏。

敵人伸開了手，奪取她的一切寶物；她眼看着外國人進入她的聖所，就是你曾吩咐不許進入你公會的。
