When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

The Lord saw they had made themselves humble. So he gave a message to Shemaiah. The Lord said,“ They have made themselves humble in my sight. So I will not destroy them. Instead, I will soon save them. Even though I am very angry with Jerusalem, I will not use Shishak to destroy them.

When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

When the Lord saw their change of heart, he gave this message to Shemaiah:“ Since the people have humbled themselves, I will not completely destroy them and will soon give them some relief. I will not use Shishak to pour out my anger on Jerusalem.

When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying,“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

以色列人对耶和华说：“我们犯了罪了，你任意对待我们吧；只求你今日拯救我们。”以色列人就从他们中间除去外族人的神，事奉耶和华；耶和华的心因以色列人所受的患难，就很着急。

第一位天使去了，把碗倒在地上，就有恶性的毒疮，生在那些有兽的记号和拜兽像的人身上。第二位天使把碗倒在海里，海水就变成好像死人的血，海里的一切生物都死了。第三位天使把碗倒在江河和众水的泉源里，水就变成了血。我听见掌管众水的天使说：“今在昔在的圣者啊！你这样审判是公义的，因为他们曾流圣徒和先知的血，现在你给他们血喝，这是他们该受的。”我又听见祭坛中有声音说：“是的，主啊！全能的神，你的审判真实、公义！”第四位天使把碗倒在太阳上，太阳就得了能力，可以用火烤人。人被高热烧烤，就亵渎那有权柄掌管这些灾难的神的名，并不悔改，把荣耀归给他。第五位天使把碗倒在兽的座位上，兽的国就黑暗了。人因为痛苦就咬自己的舌头。他们又因为所受的痛苦和所生的疮，亵渎天上的神，并不为自己所作的悔改。第六位天使把碗倒在幼发拉底大河上，河水就干了，为了要给那些从东方来的王预备道路。我看见三个污灵，好像青蛙从龙口、兽口和假先知的口中出来。他们原是鬼魔的灵，施行奇事；它们到普天下的众王那里去，叫他们在全能神的大日聚集作战。（看哪，我来像贼一样！那警醒、看守自己衣服的是有福的！他就不至于赤身行走，让人看见他的羞耻。）污灵就把众王聚集在一个地方，希伯来话叫哈米吉多顿。第七位天使把碗倒在空中，就有大声音从圣所的宝座上发出来，说：“成了！”

愿你把你的烈怒，倾倒在不认识你的外族人，和不求告你名的列国身上。

耶和华对这事改变心意。主耶和华说：“这事也不会发生。”他向我这样显示：看哪！主站在一道按准绳建造的墙旁边，手里拿着准绳。耶和华对我说：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我回答：“我看见准绳。”主又说：“看哪！我把准绳放在我民以色列中间，必不再放过他们。

但耶和华仍然施恩给他们，怜悯他们，眷顾他们，这是因为他与亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各所立的约，不愿意毁灭他们，把他们从自己的面前丢弃，直到今日。

我要起来，到我父亲那里去，对他说：爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再称为你的儿子，把我当作一个雇工吧！’于是他起来往父亲那里去。他还在远处时，他父亲看见了他，就动了慈心，跑过去抱着他，连连与他亲吻。儿子说：‘爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再称为你的儿子。’

“你们去，为我、也为以色列和犹大的余民，求问耶和华关于我们发现的这书上的话；因为我们的列祖没有谨守耶和华的话，也没有照着这书上所记的一切去行，所以耶和华才向我们大发烈怒。”

‘只要你承认自己的罪孽，就是悖逆了耶和华你的神，在每棵繁茂的树下，滥爱外族人的神，没有听从我的话。’这是耶和华的宣告。

约哈斯恳求耶和华，耶和华垂听他的祷告，因为看见了以色列所受的压迫，就是亚兰王对他们的压迫。耶和华就赐给以色列一位拯救者，他救他们脱离亚兰王的手，于是以色列人可以在自己的家安居，好像以前一样。可是他们没有离开耶罗波安家使以色列人陷于罪中的那些罪，仍然行在罪中；亚舍拉依然立在撒玛利亚。于是耶和华没有给约哈斯留下余民，只剩下骑兵五十人，战车十辆和步兵一万人，因为亚兰王毁灭他们，践踏他们好像禾场上的尘土。

因此，主耶和华这样说：“看哪！我的怒气和忿怒，必倒在这地方，也必倒在人口、牲畜、田野的树木和地的出产上；怒火烧起，不能熄灭。”

他却有怜悯，赦免罪孽，没有把他们灭绝，并且多次抑制自己的怒气，没有完全宣泄他的烈怒。

以致我也与他们作对，把他们带到他们的仇敌之地。如果他们未受割礼的心这样谦卑下来，情愿接受他们罪孽的刑罚，我就记念我与雅各所立的约，记念我与以撒所立的约，与亚伯拉罕所立的约；我也记念这地。

因此，他把他猛烈的怒气和惨酷的战争，倾倒在他身上；这在他四周如火烧起来，他还不知道；把他烧着了，他也不放在心上。

他就必定喝神烈怒的酒：这酒是斟在神震怒的杯中，纯一不杂的。他必定在众天使和羊羔面前，在火与硫磺之中受痛苦。

耶和华的话临到提斯比人以利亚说：“你看见了亚哈在我面前怎样谦卑自己，因为他在我面前谦卑自己，所以他还在世的日子，我必不降这灾祸；到他儿子的日子，我必降这灾祸与他的家。”
