Those from every tribe of Israel who set their hearts on seeking the Lord, the God of Israel, followed the Levites to Jerusalem to offer sacrifices to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

Some people from every tribe in Israel followed the Levites to Jerusalem. With all their hearts they wanted to worship the Lord. He is the God of Israel. They came to Jerusalem to offer sacrifices to him. He was the God of their people of long ago.

And those who had set their hearts to seek the Lord God of Israel came after them from all the tribes of Israel to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

From all the tribes of Israel, those who sincerely wanted to worship the Lord, the God of Israel, followed the Levites to Jerusalem, where they could offer sacrifices to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

Those from every tribe of Israel who had determined in their hearts to seek the LORD their God followed the Levites to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the LORD, the God of their ancestors.

招聚猶大便雅憫人眾、及旅其中之以法蓮人、瑪拿西人、西緬人、蓋歸降亞撒之以色列人甚眾、因見主其天主祐之、

今萬有之主如是云、當察爾所為、當察爾所為或作於爾所作之事當留心察之下同

故當定爾心意、尋求主爾之天主、起而建主爾天主之聖殿、以主之約匱及天主之聖器、攜入為主名將建之殿中、

王聞言甚憂、定心尋法、以救但以理、百計籌謀、至於日入、

大衛曰、此主天主之殿、此以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺、或作主天主之殿以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺俱當在此○

爾所得為業之地、如以為不潔、則可歸主之地、即設主幕之地、得業於我儕中、但不可在主我天主祭臺之外、別建祭臺、叛逆主、並干犯我儕、

天主歟、我心已定、我靈亦定、我將唱詩、我必歌頌、

勒索之貨不可倚賴、劫奪之財不可妄恃、貨財雖然加多、莫以為念、

主爾之天主、於爾支派中特選何處、為其名所在之處、爾即當赴主居所、往彼以崇拜、爾之火焚祭、平安祭、應輸之什一、舉獻之祭、酬願之祭、樂獻之祭、及首生之牛羊、俱當攜之至彼、

天主所賜之生氣、如定意使歸於己、

以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫、多有人未自潔、亦食逾越節之羔、不符所錄之例、希西家為之祈禱、曰、凡一心尋求主其列祖之天主者、雖不循聖所之潔禮自潔、求至善之主赦之、

以榮耀歸於主名、奉禮物以至主前、在至聖至美之所、敬拜主、

恃主得力、心願趨道赴主殿者、此人即為有福、彼雖經過巴迦谷、巴迦谷或作流淚谷亦以為有泉源、且有甘雨、普降福澤、斯人愈行、其力愈增、終至郇山朝覲天主、

慎毋獻爾火焚祭於凡爾所自擇之處、主於爾支派中選何處、爾即當在何處獻爾火焚祭、行凡我所命爾行者、

遂謂之曰、我今日所警教爾之諸言、爾當藏於心中、亦當諭爾子孫謹守遵行此律法之諸言、

既至、見天主之恩甚喜、乃勸眾堅心從主、

彼食我民之贖罪祭牲、心悅我民有尤、

惟不以主言為意者、則遺僕與畜在田、○

撒母耳謂以色列族之眾曰、如爾盡心歸主、則以異邦之神及諸亞斯他錄除於爾中、專心向主、獨崇事主、如此、主必援爾於非利士人之手、以色列人遂除諸巴力及諸亞斯他錄、獨崇事主、

但亞設、瑪拿西、西布倫中、有數人謙恭、至耶路撒冷、

則凡我所命爾獻者、即火焚祭、平安祭、應輸之什一、舉獻之祭、於主前許願欲獻之美祭、爾俱當攜之至主爾天主所選為其名所在之處、
