Solomon answered God,“ You were very kind to my father David. Now you have made me king in his place.

所罗门对神说：“你曾经向我的父亲大卫大施慈爱，使我接续他作王。

所羅門對神說：「你曾向我父大衛大施慈愛，使我接續他作王。

所羅門對上帝說：「你曾向我父親大衛大施慈愛，使我接續他作王。

所羅門對神說：「你曾向我父親大衛大施慈愛，使我接續他作王。

所羅門回答說：「你厚待我父大衛，並讓我繼位。

所羅門對神說：“你曾經向我的父親大衛大施慈愛，使我接續他作王。

所羅門對上帝說：『你曾向我父大衛大施堅固的愛，使我接替他作王。

所羅門曰、爾施鴻慈於我父大衛、使我繼之為王、

所羅門曰、爾施厚恩於我父大闢、令我繼位。

所羅門對天主曰、主賜大恩於我父大衛、使我繼之為王、

Solomon answered God,“ You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

Solomon replied to God,“ You showed great and faithful love to David, my father, and now you have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great and faithful love to my father David, and you have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God,“ You have dealt with my father David with great faithfulness, and have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God:“ You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great lovingkindness unto David my father, and hast made me king in his stead.

And Solomon said to God:“ You have shown great and faithful love to my father David, and You have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

Solomon replied to God,“ You demonstrated great loyalty to my father David and have made me king in his place.

Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

The Lord has given me many sons. From all of them he has chosen my son Solomon. He wants Solomon to sit on the throne of the Lord’ s kingdom. He wants him to rule over Israel.

So Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord. He ruled as king in place of his father David. Things went well with him. All the people of Israel obeyed him.

He gives his king great victories. He shows his faithful love to his anointed king. He shows it to David and his family forever.”Here are David’s last words. He said,“ I am David, the son of Jesse. God has given me a message. The Most High God has greatly honored me. The God of Jacob anointed me as king. I am the hero of Israel’s songs.

Then Nathan said to David,“ You are the man! The Lord, the God of Israel, says,‘ I anointed you king over Israel. I saved you from Saul.I gave you everything that belonged to your master Saul. I even put his wives into your arms. I made you king over all the people of Israel and Judah. And if all of that had not been enough for you, I would have given you even more.

Lord, where is the great love you used to have? You faithfully promised it to David.

I have found my servant David. I have poured my sacred oil on his head.My powerful hand will keep him going. My mighty arm will give him strength.No enemy will have the victory over him. No evil person will treat him badly.I will crush the king’s enemies. I will completely destroy them.I will love him and be faithful to him. Because of me his power will increase.I will give him a great kingdom. It will reach from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River.He will call out to me,‘ You are my Father. You are my God. You are my Rock and Savior.’I will also make him my oldest son. Among all the kings of the earth, he will be the most important one.I will continue to love him forever. I will never break my covenant with him.

Listen and come to me. Pay attention to me. Then you will live. I will make a covenant with you that will last forever. I will give you my faithful love. I promised it to David.

“ So tell my servant David,‘ The Lord who rules over all says,“ I took you away from the grasslands. That’s where you were taking care of your father’s sheep and goats. I made you ruler over my people Israel.I have been with you everywhere you have gone. I have destroyed all your enemies. Now I will make you famous. Your name will be just as respected as the names of the most important people on earth.

Great is your love for me. You have kept me from going down into the place of the dead.
