That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Tell me what I should give you.”

那一夜，神向所羅門顯現，對他說：“你無論求甚麼，我必賜給你。”

那一天夜裏、上帝向所羅門顯現，對他說：『我須要給你甚麼、你儘管求。』

是夕上帝見於所羅門、謂之曰、所欲我賜爾者、爾其求之、

是夕上帝顯現、告所羅門曰、爾有所求、吾無弗予。

是夜主顯現於所羅門、謂之曰、爾欲我何所賜、爾惟求之、

That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

That night God appeared to Solomon. He said to him,“ Ask for anything you want me to give you.”

In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him,“ Ask what I shall give you.”

That night God appeared to Solomon and said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Ask. What should I give you?”

In that night God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Ask what I shall give you.”

On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him,“ Ask! What shall I give you?”

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him:“ Ask. What should I give you?”

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

That night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Ask for what you want me to give you.”

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.

Then Jesus said to him,“ What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man replied,“ Rabbi, let me see again.”

“ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

One night in Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream. God said,“ Tell me what I should give you.”Solomon replied,“ You demonstrated great loyalty to your servant, my father David, as he served you faithfully, properly, and sincerely. You have maintained this great loyalty to this day by allowing his son to sit on his throne.Now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in my father David’s place, even though I am only a young man and am inexperienced.Your servant stands among your chosen people; they are a great nation that is too numerous to count or number.So give your servant a discerning mind so he can make judicial decisions for your people and distinguish right from wrong. Otherwise no one is able to make judicial decisions for this great nation of yours.”The Lord was pleased that Solomon made this request.God said to him,“ Because you asked for the ability to make wise judicial decisions, and not for long life, or riches, or vengeance on your enemies,I grant your request, and give you a wise and discerning mind superior to that of anyone who has preceded or will succeed you.Furthermore, I am giving you what you did not request– riches and honor so that you will be the greatest king of your generation.If you follow my instructions by obeying my rules and regulations, just as your father David did, then I will grant you long life.”Solomon then woke up and realized it was a dream. He went to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the Lord’s covenant, offered up burnt sacrifices, presented peace offerings, and held a feast for all his servants.

At that time you will ask me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.

He said to them,“ What do you want me to do for you?”They said to him,“ Permit one of us to sit at your right hand and the other at your left in your glory.”
