Honor widows who are truly in need.But if a widow has children or grandchildren, they should first learn to fulfill their duty toward their own household and so repay their parents what is owed them. For this is what pleases God.

There was also a prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old, having been married to her husband for seven years until his death.She had lived as a widow since then for eighty- four years. She never left the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day.

A wife is bound as long as her husband is living. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes( only someone in the Lord).But in my opinion, she will be happier if she remains as she is– and I think that I too have the Spirit of God!

So I want younger women to marry, raise children, and manage a household, in order to give the adversary no opportunity to vilify us.

Deacons must be husbands of one wife and good managers of their children and their own households.

To the married I give this command– not I, but the Lord– a wife should not divorce a husband( but if she does, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband), and a husband should not divorce his wife.
