So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander.

So here is the advice I give to younger widows. Get married. Have children. Take care of your own homes. Don’t give the enemy the chance to tell lies about you.

So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the adversary no occasion for slander.

So I advise these younger widows to marry again, have children, and take care of their own homes. Then the enemy will not be able to say anything against them.

並且自律、貞潔、理家、善良、順從自己的丈夫，免得神的道受毀謗。

凡負軛作奴僕的，應當看自己的主人是配受十分的敬重，免得神的名和道理被人褻瀆。

言詞要純正，無可指摘，使反對的人因為無從毀謗，就自覺慚愧。

他們禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物。食物本是神所造的，是給信主和認識真理的人存感謝的心領受的。

於是這些監察司和總督在但以理治國的事上，尋找把柄控告他，只是不能找到任何的把柄和過失，因為他忠心可靠，他們找不到他的任何錯誤和過失。

她監管一切家務，從不白吃閒飯。她的兒女都起來稱她是有福的，她的丈夫也稱讚她，說：“有才德的女子很多，但你比她們更超卓。”

我現在要對未婚的人和寡婦說，他們若保持像我這樣就好了；但如果不能自制，就應當結婚，因為結婚總比慾火焚身好。

智慧婦人建立家室，愚妄婦人親手拆毀。

所以，我們不要再彼此批評了；倒要立定主意，決不作絆倒弟兄或使他跌倒的事。

因此，我願意男人沒有忿怒，沒有爭論，舉起聖潔的手隨處禱告。

他們問亞伯拉罕：“你的妻子撒拉在哪裡？”他回答：“在帳棚裡。”

只是因為你作了這事，使耶和華的仇敵大得褻瀆的機會，所以你所生的兒子必定死。”

群眾站著觀看，官長們嗤笑說：“他救了別人，如果他是基督，是神所揀選的，讓他救自己吧！”士兵也上前戲弄他，拿酸酒給他喝，說：“如果你是猶太人的王，救你自己吧！”在耶穌的頭以上有一個牌子寫著：“這是猶太人的王。”懸掛著的犯人中，有一個侮辱他說：“你不是基督嗎？救你自己和我們吧！”另一個就應聲責備他說：“你是同樣受刑的，還不懼怕神嗎？我們是罪有應得的。我們所受的與所作的相稱，然而這個人並沒有作過甚麼不對的事。”

亞伯拉罕趕快進帳棚，到撒拉那裡，說：“你快拿三斗細麵調和，作些餅。”

你們要是為基督的名受辱罵，就有福了！因為神榮耀的靈，住在你們身上。你們中間不可有人因為殺人、或偷竊、或行惡、或好管閒事而受苦。

我現在所作的，將來還要作，為了要斷絕那些投機分子的機會，不讓他們在所誇的事上，被人認為是跟我們一樣的。

人人都應該尊重婚姻，婚床也不要玷污，因為神一定審判淫亂的和姦淫的人。

至於年輕的寡婦，不要給她們登記，因為她們一旦情慾衝動而背棄基督的時候，就想結婚。
