不固持元首、夫元首乃全體所由、以節以維、而得資助聯絡、以上帝之長而長也、○

遣我兄弟提摩太、於基督福音為上帝役者、以堅爾曹、為爾之信而慰爾、

若有傳異教、不從我主耶穌基督之正言、不依敬虔之教者、

惟我儕所已及者、宜依此而行焉、○

惟爾當止於所學及所篤信者、以知所學之奚自、且自幼穉識聖書、能使爾智、以致拯救、由於信之在基督耶穌中者、凡由上帝所感之聖經、有益於訓誨、督責、反正、習義、致屬上帝者得以純全、悉備善工、

惟諸事自薦為上帝役、有若恆忍、患難、空乏、阨窮、

我以善道錫爾、勿棄我之法則、

惟居愛崇真、萬事漸長於彼、彼乃元首、即基督也、由彼全體結構聯絡、百節相承、各依厥量而運動、俾之滋長、而自建於愛、○

我毅然致書、使爾記憶、因上帝賜我之恩、
