做监督的不可以是新信徒，免得他自以为是，就落在魔鬼所受的惩罚里；

同样，你们年轻的，当服从年长的。每个人当彼此以谦卑束腰，因为“神抵挡骄傲的人，赐恩典给谦卑的人。”

要像刚出生的婴孩一样，爱慕那纯净的话语之奶，好使你们藉着它成长，以至于救恩，

那么他就成了自以为是的人，什么都不知道，只对辩论和言词上的争执有病态的嗜好，由此引发嫉妒、纷争、毁谤、恶意的猜疑；

其实从时间来说，你们早就应该做教师了，却还需要有人把神话语的基本原则重新教导你们；你们成了那需要吃奶、而不能吃干粮的人。要知道，凡是吃奶的人，都对称义的道理不熟悉，因为他是个小孩子；

并且为了不让我因这些极大的启示而高抬自己，有一根刺加在我的肉体上，就是撒旦的使者来击打我，免得我高抬自己。

弟兄们，以往我对你们说话，不能把你们当做属灵的，只能当做属肉体的，当做在基督里的小孩子。

耶稣对他们说：“我看见撒旦像闪电一样从天上坠落。

“明亮的晨星，黎明之子啊，你怎么会从天坠落呢？你这击败列国的，怎么会被砍倒在地呢？你心里曾说：‘我要升到天上，我要高举我的宝座在神的众星之上，我要坐在北方极处的聚会山上，我要升到云端之上，我要使自己与至高者相比。’

关于祭过偶像的食物，我们知道“我们都有知识。”知识使人自我膨胀，但是爱能造就人。

破败之前，人心自高；荣耀之前，先有谦卑。

破败以先，必有骄傲；绊跌之前，灵里高慢。灵里降卑、与卑微的人在一起，好过与傲慢者同分战利品。

弟兄们，我把这些事应用到我和阿波罗身上，是为了你们的缘故，好让你们从我们学到“不要超越经上所记的”，免得你们自我膨胀，抬高这个人，贬低那个人。使你与别人不同的到底是谁呢？你有什么不是领受的呢？如果真是领受的，你为什么还自夸，好像不是领受的呢？你们已经饱足了，已经富有了，没有我们，自己就做王了！我真希望你们真做王，好让我们也与你们一同做王！

人的自高，将使他降卑；灵里谦卑的，必得荣耀。

因为必有万军之耶和华的一个日子，临到所有傲慢高傲的和所有自高的，使他们成为卑贱；

背叛出卖、任意妄为、自以为是，爱享乐过于爱神，

并且用永恒的锁链把那些不守本位、离开自己居所的天使拘留在幽暗里，直到那大日子的审判。

要知道：既然神没有顾惜那些犯罪的天使，把他们扔进地狱，囚禁在幽暗的坑里，拘留到审判的时候；
