你们要把握机会，对外面的人靠智慧行事。

我们不在任何事上给任何人跌倒的借口，免得这服事的工作被人挑剔；

至于那些想发财的人就会陷入试探、网罗以及很多无知有害的欲望里；这些欲望使人沉溺在败坏和灭亡中。

好使你们在外人面前能够行事端正，不会有什么缺乏。

无论对犹太人、对外邦人，或对神的教会，你们都不可成为绊跌物；

要用无可指责的健全话语，使反对的人在我们的事上因没有坏话可说，就感到羞愧。

耶稣对他们说：“神国的奥秘已经赐给你们了，但是对外人，一切都是用比喻的。

你们如果因基督的名受责骂，就是蒙福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是神的灵，住在你们身上。你们当中不可有人因杀人、偷窃、作恶、好管闲事而受苦；但如果有人因为是基督徒而受苦，他不应该感到羞耻，反要奉这名来荣耀神；

所以，我希望年轻的寡妇结婚，生养儿女，料理家务，不给反对的人辱骂的机会。

其实审判外面的人，到底与我有什么关系呢？你们难道不该审判里面的人吗？

连一切恶的样式都要远避。

他们说：“百夫长哥尼流是个义人，敬畏神，也受到了犹太全族的赞许。他受一位圣天使的指示：要请你到他家去，听你的话语。”

自律、贞洁、善理家务、良善、服从自己的丈夫，免得神的话语受到亵渎。
