欲爾各知以聖以尊、自安其室、

各宜貞潔自守、

欲爾各人知以聖潔貴重守己之身、身原文作器

各宜自愛、守身如玉、

that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable,

He wants all of you to learn to control your own bodies. You must live in a way that is holy. You must live with honor.

that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—

that each of you knows how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

so that each of you knows how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,

But if they do not have self- control, let them get married. For it is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire.

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!

Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as the weaker partners and show them honor as fellow heirs of the grace of life. In this way nothing will hinder your prayers.

Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice– alive, holy, and pleasing to God– which is your reasonable service.

Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with his own wife and each woman with her own husband.

Flee sexual immorality!“ Every sin a person commits is outside of the body”– but the immoral person sins against his own body.Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

Has the potter no right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for special use and another for ordinary use?But what if God, willing to demonstrate his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the objects of wrath prepared for destruction?And what if he is willing to make known the wealth of his glory on the objects of mercy that he has prepared beforehand for glory–

But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that the extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, because this man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before Gentiles and kings and the people of Israel.

David said to the priest,“ Certainly women have been kept away from us, just as on previous occasions when I have set out. The soldiers’ equipment is holy, even on an ordinary journey. How much more so will they be holy today, along with their equipment!”

( I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.) For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.

Now in a wealthy home there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also ones made of wood and of clay, and some are for honorable use, but others for ignoble use.So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
