For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

蓋天使長大聲呼號、吹天主角時、主必由天而降、則信基督而死者、必先復活、

彼時號令一出。總領天神一呼、天主之號角一鳴、主乃自天降臨、而已亡之信徒、既先復活；

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

The Lord himself will come down from heaven. We will hear a loud command. We will hear the voice of the leader of the angels. We will hear a blast from God’s trumpet. Many who believe in Christ will have died already. They will rise first.

God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This[ is] the first resurrection.Blessed and holy[ is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and[ by] our gathering together unto him,

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God[ is] with him, and the shout of a king[ is] among them.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he[ is] just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed[ are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken[ it].And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this[ is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this[ is] the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw[ it], they removed, and stood afar off.

Who[ art] thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel[ thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone[ thereof with] shoutings,[ crying], Grace, grace unto it.

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp[ is] very great: for[ he is] strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD[ is] great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
