撒母耳對以色列全家說：『你們若一心回轉來歸向永恆主，把外人的神從你們中間除掉，也除掉亞斯他錄，立定心意歸向永恆主，單單事奉他，他就援救你們脫離非利士人的手。』

撒母耳对以色列全家说：“你们若一心归顺耶和华，就要把外邦的神和亚斯他录从你们中间除掉，专心归向耶和华，单单地侍奉他。他必救你们脱离非利士人的手。”

撒母耳对以色列全家说：“你们若全心回转归向耶和华，就要从你们中间除掉外邦的神明和亚斯她录，预备你们的心归向耶和华，单单事奉他，他必救你们脱离非利士人的手。”

撒母耳对以色列全家说：“你们若全心回转归向耶和华，就要从你们中间除掉外邦的神明和亚斯她录，预备你们的心归向耶和华，单单事奉他，他必救你们脱离非利士人的手。”

撒母耳对他们说：“如果你们全心归向耶和华，就要除掉你们那些外族的神明，包括亚斯她录神像，一心归向耶和华，单单事奉祂，祂必从非利士人手中救你们。”

于是撒母耳对以色列全家说：“如果你们一心归向耶和华，就当把外族的神和亚斯他录从你们中间除掉，专心归向耶和华，单单事奉他，他必救你们脱离非利士人的手。”

撒母耳就对以色列全家宣告说：“你们如果全心回转归向耶和华，就要把外邦的神明和亚斯她录从你们中间除掉，立定心志归向耶和华，唯独服事他。这样他就会解救你们脱离非利士人的手。”

撒母耳對他們說：「如果你們全心歸向耶和華，就要除掉你們那些外族的神明，包括亞斯她錄神像，一心歸向耶和華，單單事奉祂，祂必從非利士人手中救你們。」

於是撒母耳對以色列全家說：“如果你們一心歸向耶和華，就當把外族的神和亞斯他錄從你們中間除掉，專心歸向耶和華，單單事奉他，他必救你們脫離非利士人的手。”

撒母耳就對以色列全家宣告說：「你們如果全心回轉歸向耶和華，就要把外邦的神明和亞斯她錄從你們中間除掉，立定心志歸向耶和華，唯獨服事他。這樣他就會解救你們脫離非利士人的手。」

撒母耳告以色列家曰、如爾一心歸耶和華、則必除異族之神、及亞斯他錄於爾中、專心歸耶和華、而獨事之、則彼援爾於非利士人手、

撒母耳告以色列眾曰、如爾盡心歸耶和華、則他上帝及亞大綠、必絕於爾中、當備爾心、獨事耶和華、則彼援爾於非利士人手。

撒母耳謂以色列族之眾曰、如爾盡心歸主、則以異邦之神及諸亞斯他錄除於爾中、專心向主、獨崇事主、如此、主必援爾於非利士人之手、

So Samuel said to all the Israelites,“ If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

So Samuel spoke to all the Israelites. He said,“ Do you really want to return to the Lord with all your hearts? If you do, get rid of your false gods. Get rid of your statues of female gods that are named Ashtoreth. Commit yourselves to the Lord. Serve him only. Then he will save you from the power of the Philistines.”

And Samuel said to all the house of Israel,“ If you are returning to the Lord with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your heart to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

Then Samuel said to all the people of Israel,“ If you want to return to the Lord with all your hearts, get rid of your foreign gods and your images of Ashtoreth. Turn your hearts to the Lord and obey him alone; then he will rescue you from the Philistines.”

Samuel told them,“ If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, get rid of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths that are among you, set your hearts on the LORD, and worship only him. Then he will rescue you from the Philistines.”

Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying,“ If you are returning to the Lord with all your heart, then remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will save you from the hand of the Philistines.”

Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying,“ If you return to the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the Lord, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto Jehovah with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts unto Jehovah, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

Samuel told them,“ If you are returning to the Lord with all your heart, get rid of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths that are among you, dedicate yourselves to the Lord, and worship only Him. Then He will rescue you from the hand of the Philistines.”

And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts,[ then] put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

Samuel said to all the people of Israel,“ If you are really turning to the LORD with all your hearts, remove from among you the foreign gods and the images of Ashtoreth. Give your hearts to the LORD and serve only him. Then he will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying,“ If you are returning to Yahweh with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts to Yahweh, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

耶穌回答他說：『經上記着說：「要拜主你的上帝，單單要事奉他。」』

你們要跟從永恆主你們的上帝，敬畏他，遵守他的誡命，聽他的聲音，事奉他，緊依附着他。

耶穌對他說：『撒但退去！因為有記着說：「要拜主你的上帝，單單事奉他。」』

你要敬畏的、是永恆主你的上帝；你要事奉的乃是他；你指着來起誓的必須是他的名。

惡人要離棄自己的路；奸惡之輩要棄掉自己的意圖，回轉來歸永恆主，讓永恆主憐憫他，來歸我們的上帝，因為上帝廣行赦免。

『現在你們要敬畏永恆主，以純全和忠信事奉他，將你們列祖在大河那邊和在埃及所事奉的神除掉，來事奉永恆主。

約書亞說：那麼『現在你們要除掉你們中間外族人的神，傾心歸向永恆主以色列的上帝。』

他們若在擄了他們去的仇敵之地全心全意地回轉過來歸向你，又向他們自己的地、你賜給他們列祖之地、向你所選擇的這城、和我為你的名所建的這殿、對你禱告，

永恆主發神諭說：『如今雖如此，你們還要全心全意來歸向我，以禁食哀哭及號咷來返回。你們要撕裂的是心，倒不是衣服。』要回歸永恆主你們的上帝；因為他有恩惠有憐憫，他不輕易發怒，而有豐盛的堅愛，他並且能改變心意、不降災禍。

『來吧，我們回歸於永恆主吧，因為他撕裂，他也必醫治我們；他擊傷，他也必給我們綁紮。兩三天後他必使我們復元，使我們起來，好在他面前活着。

你要敬畏永恆主你的上帝，事奉他，緊依附着他，起誓也要指着他的名而起誓。

上帝是靈；敬拜他的應當用心靈和「真實」來敬拜。』

你和你子孫若全心全意歸向永恆主你的上帝，聽他的聲音，照我今日所吩咐你的一切話，那麼永恆主你的上帝就必使你恢復故業，就必憐憫你，將你從永恆主你的上帝分散你到的萬族之民中再招集回來。你被趕散的人就使在天邊，永恆主你的上帝也必從那裏將你招集回來，從那裏將你帶來。永恆主你的上帝必領你進你列祖所取得的地，使你取得它；他必使你得好處，人數增多、勝過你列祖。永恆主你的上帝必給你的心和你後裔的心行割禮，使你全心全意愛永恆主你的上帝，使你得以活着，那麼永恆主你的上帝就必將這一切咒詛加在你仇敵和恨惡你逼迫你的人身上。至於你本身呢，你卻要再聽永恆主的聲音，遵行他的一切誡命、就是我今日所吩咐你的。你若聽永恆主你的上帝的聲音，遵守寫在「這律法」書上的誡命律例，又全心全意歸向永恆主你的上帝，那麼永恆主就必使你手裏作的一切事、你腹中的果子、你牲口所下的、和你土地上的果實、都昌盛有餘；因為永恆主必再喜悅你，使你得好處，像他從前喜悅你列祖一樣。

以色列人又行了永恆主所看為壞的事，去服事眾巴力、和亞斯他錄、跟亞蘭的神、西頓的神、摩押的神、亞捫人的神、非利士人的神：他們離棄了永恆主，不事奉他。

『你呢、我兒所羅門哪，你要認識永恆主你父的上帝，全心樂意地事奉他，因為永恆主究察萬人的心，他明白一切思想的計畫。你若尋求他，他就給你尋見；你若離棄他，他就永遠屏絕你。

雅各就對他的家屬和所有同在一起的人說：『要除掉你們中間的外人神像，要潔淨自己，更換衣裳。

「這人民用嘴脣尊敬我，心卻遠離我；

你們將所犯得罪了我的一切罪過盡行拋棄吧！為自己作成個新的心新的靈吧！何必死亡呢，以色列家啊？

因為永恆主對猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民這麼說：『要耙鬆你們的休耕地，不要撒種在荊棘中。猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，你們要再行割禮歸永恆主，將你們的心的包皮除掉，免得我的烈怒因你們行為之敗壞而發出，正如同火、一直焚燒，無人能撲滅。』

『一個人不能做兩個主人的奴僕；因為他若不是厭惡這一個而愛那一個，就是會依附這一個而不顧那一個：你們不能又做上帝的奴僕，又做錢財的奴僕。

他們離棄了永恆主，去服事巴力和亞斯他錄。

然而你還有良好的表現，因為你從國中將亞舍拉神木肅清，你並且立定了心意尋求上帝。』

『你呢，你若將心守正，伸開雙手向他禱告——你手中有奸惡，你若遠遠除掉，不容不義住於你家——

心裏所籌劃的在乎人；口舌之應對乃由於永恆主。

以色列人就從他們中間除掉外族人的神，而事奉永恆主；因以色列人所遭遇的患難，永恆主的心就很着急。

以色列啊，你要回歸永恆主你的上帝，因為你是因你自己的罪孽而傾覆的。

他們將掃羅的軍裝放在亞斯他錄廟裏，將他的屍身釘在伯珊的城牆上。
