While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites.

The Philistines came near to attack Israel. At that time Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering. But that day the Lord thundered loudly against the Philistines. He threw them into such a panic that the Israelites were able to chase them away.

As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to attack Israel. But the Lord thundered with a mighty sound that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were defeated before Israel.

星辰从天上、从它们的轨道攻击西西拉。

以色列人选择新的神明，便战祸临门，四万以色列人中找不到一矛一盾。

你们都知道收割麦子的时候不会下雨。现在，我要向耶和华祷告，求祂打雷降雨，好让你们知道，你们要求立王在耶和华眼中是多么大的罪。”

说，‘以色列人啊，听着！今天你们要和敌人交战，不要胆怯，不要惧怕，也不要恐慌。因为你们的上帝耶和华要与你们同去，为你们争战，使你们得胜。’

摩西向天伸出手杖，耶和华就发出雷电和冰雹，火光飞向大地。耶和华在埃及降下冰雹。那时冰雹夹杂着火降下来，极为严重，在埃及史无前例。冰雹摧毁了埃及境内田间的一切，包括人和牲畜，摧毁了田里的一切作物，打断了所有的树木，

上帝啊，海水看见你就战栗，深渊看见你就颤抖。云层倒出雨水，天上雷霆霹雳，电光四射。旋风中传来你的雷声，你的闪电照亮世界，大地颤抖震动。

进攻西西拉。耶和华使西西拉的战车和军队惊慌失措，败在巴拉刀下。西西拉弃车徒步逃跑，

烈火做祂的先锋，烧灭祂周围的仇敌。祂的闪电照亮世界，大地因此而战抖。

祂藏身于黑暗中，四围以密云作幔幕。从祂面前的荣光中，冰雹和火炭冲破云层。耶和华在天上打雷，至高者发出的声音响彻在冰雹和火炭中。祂射出利箭驱散仇敌，发出闪电击溃他们。

他对我说：“这是耶和华对所罗巴伯讲的话。万军之耶和华说，‘不靠权势，不靠才能，乃靠我的灵。

随后雷电交加，伴随着巨响，还有空前剧烈的大地震。巴比伦大城裂作三段，其他各国的城邑也都倒塌了。上帝并没有忘记巴比伦大城的罪恶，要把那杯盛满祂烈怒的酒给她喝。海岛都沉没了，山岭也都不见了，又有重达三十四公斤的巨型冰雹从天而降，打在世人身上。世人无法忍受这极大的灾祸，就亵渎上帝。
