何剛愎乃心、效埃及人與法老所為乎。彼不釋以色列族、待降異災而後可。

你們的心為甚麼固執、像埃及人和法老那樣固執呢？上帝作弄了埃及人，埃及人不是還要把以色列人放走麼？

你們為什麼心裡剛硬，像埃及人和法老那樣心裡剛硬呢？當神折辱他們的時候，他們不是放走了以色列人嗎？以色列人不是離開了嗎？

何剛愎乃心、如埃及人與法老之剛愎乎、上帝行奇事於其間、彼豈非釋其民、使之往乎、

何剛愎爾心、如伊及人與法老剛愎其心耶、伊及人不釋以色列人去、迨彼即天主在其間行奇跡降災、始釋之去、爾豈不知乎、

Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When Israel’s god dealt harshly with them, did they not send the Israelites out so they could go on their way?

Why are you stubborn, as Pharaoh and the people of Egypt were? Israel’s god was very hard on them. Only then did they send the Israelites out. Only then did they let them go on their way.

埃及人必剛愎厥心以襲、我姑聽之。我必勝法老、爰及軍旅車馬、以獲大榮。

法老少覺寛舒、剛愎厥心、仍不聽從、而耶和華前言應矣。

法老仍剛愎厥心、不肯聽從、而耶和華之前言應矣。○

法老見雷息、雨雹皆止、則與群臣仍干罪戾、剛愎厥心、

摩西亞倫覲法老曰希百來族之上帝耶和華諭云、爾欲待何時、始自卑乎、當釋我民、以役事我。

是時法老剛愎厥心、仍引釋以色列族。

埃及人車馬、與法老軍旅襲其後、至海中、

上帝具至智、有大能、違之者烏能得福。

日月未逝、宜及時相勸勉、恐迷於罪、而剛愎自用、

然我使爾崛興、以顯我能、我名播揚於天下。

乃爾剛愎、罔有悛心、積愆干怒、待上帝震怒、義鞫顯日、

上帝曰至於今日、爾願聽從吾言、不剛愎乃心、如昔民之觝觸我、試我於野兮、

異邦族類、必聞而畏、非利士民必悚然懼、以東諸伯必觳觫、摩押英豪必戰慄、迦南居民必喪膽。無不驚駭、爾施厥能敵不敢動、屹然如石、待耶和華所得之民經其地。

召摩西亞倫曰、爾曹與以色列族、速離我民、奉事耶和華。如爾所言。亦驅牛羊、如爾所求、更我為我祝嘏。埃及人促以色列族、速出其境。僉曰、我儕將就死亡。
