The people of Beth Shemesh said,“ The Lord is a holy God. Who can stand in front of him? Where can the ark go up to from here?”

伯·示麦人说：“谁能站立在耶和华——这位圣洁的上帝面前呢？该把约柜送到谁那里呢？”

伯．示麦人说：“在耶和华这位圣洁的神面前，谁能站立得住呢？他可以从我们这里上到哪里去呢？”

伯示麦人说：“谁能在这位圣洁的神耶和华面前站立得住呢？应该请他离开我们上谁那里去呢？”

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這聖潔的神面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏送到誰那裏去呢？」

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這位聖潔的上帝面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏上到誰那裏去呢？」

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這位聖潔的神面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏上到誰那裏去呢？」

伯·示麥人說：「誰能站立在耶和華——這位聖潔的上帝面前呢？該把約櫃送到誰那裡呢？」

伯示麥人說：「誰能在這位聖潔的神耶和華面前站立得住呢？應該請他離開我們上誰那裡去呢？」

伯示麥人曰、此維聖之上帝耶和華、孰能立於其前、彼離我、當何往、

伯示麥人曰、耶和華上帝至聖、孰能立於其前、匱離斯土、當往何方。

伯示麥人曰、主天主至聖、誰能立於其前、匱離我儕當往誰之所乎、

And the people of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who can stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

Then the men of Beth-shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom shall he go up away from us?”

“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God?” they cried out.“ Where can we send the Ark from here?”

The people of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the LORD this holy God? To whom should the ark go from here?”

And the men of Beth shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom will He go up from us?”

And the men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? And to whom shall it go up from us?”

And the men of Beth- shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The men of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of this holy Lord God? Who should the ark go to from here?”

And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The residents of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

David was afraid of the Lord that day. He asked,“ How can the ark of the Lord ever be brought to me?”

But who can live through the day when he comes? Who will be left standing when he appears? He will be like a fire that makes things pure. He will be like soap that makes things clean.

The great day of their anger has come. Who can live through it?”

People should have respect for you alone. Who can stand in front of you when you are angry?

So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines. They asked them,“ What should we do with the ark of the god of Israel?” The rulers answered,“ Have the ark moved to Gath.” So they moved it.But after the people of Ashdod had moved the ark, the Lord’ s power was against Gath. That threw its people into a great panic. The Lord made them break out with growths in their bodies. It happened to young people and old people alike.So the ark of God was sent to Ekron. As the ark was entering Ekron, the people of the city cried out. They shouted,“ They’ve brought the ark of the god of Israel to us. They want to kill us and our people.”So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines. They said,“ Send the ark of the god of Israel away. Let it go back to its own place. If you don’t, it will kill us and our people.” The death of so many people had filled the city with panic. God’s power was against the city.Those who didn’t die suffered with growths in their bodies. The people of Ekron cried out to heaven for help.

The Israelites said to Moses,“ We’ll die! We are lost! All of us are lost!Anyone who even comes near the Lord’ s holy tent will die. Are all of us going to die?”

David was angry because the Lord’ s great anger had broken out against Uzzah. That’s why the place is still called Perez Uzzah to this day.David was afraid of God that day. David asked,“ How can I ever bring the ark of God back here to me?”So he didn’t take the ark to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed- Edom. Obed- Edom was from Gath.

Then all the people who lived in the area of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them. They were filled with fear. So he got into the boat and left.

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees.“ Go away from me, Lord!” he said.“ I am a sinful man!”

I am the Lord. I brought you up out of Egypt to be your God. So be holy, because I am holy.

Then the Lord was very angry with Uzzah. That’s because what Uzzah did showed that he didn’t have any respect for the Lord. So God struck him down. He died there beside the ark of God.
