“你要吩咐以色列人，把點燈用的榨成的純淨橄欖油，拿來給你，使燈火長燃。在會幕中法櫃的幔子外，亞倫要使這燈在耶和華面前通宵達旦地長燃；這是你們世世代代永遠的律例。亞倫要不斷地在耶和華面前，整理純金燈臺（“金燈臺”或譯：“潔淨的燈臺”）上的燈。

“你要吩咐以色列民把打成的純橄欖油拿來給你，是為點燈用的，使燈常常點著。在會幕中法櫃前的幔子外，亞倫和他的子孫，從晚上到早晨，要常在耶和華面前料理這燈。這要作以色列人世世代代的定例。”

至於我，我必憑著你豐盛的慈愛，進入你的殿；我要存著敬畏你的心，向你的聖所敬拜。

有一件事我求過耶和華，我還要尋求；我要一生一世住在耶和華的殿裡，瞻仰他的榮美，在他的殿中求問。

耶和華的聲音驚動母鹿生產，使林中的樹木光禿凋零；凡是在他殿中的都說：“榮耀啊！”

因為耶和華使哈拿不能懷孕，她的對頭就盡力刺激她，使她苦惱。

亞倫要在壇上燒香料做的香，每天早晨整理燈的時候，要燒這香。傍晚，亞倫點燈的時候，也要燒這香，在耶和華面前作你們世世代代不斷的香。

他們每日早晚向耶和華獻燔祭，焚燒芬芳的香；在清潔的桌子上擺上陳設餅；每天晚上燃點金燈臺的燈盞；我們謹守耶和華我們的神的吩咐，你們卻離棄了他。
