You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

We do not see our signs; there is no longer any prophet, and there is none among us who knows how long.

We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.

Let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. What has straw in common with wheat? declares the Lord.

In the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me.And the word of the Lord came to me:“ Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God, Is it to inquire of me that you come? So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance.He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.
