因这缘故，住在乡下村镇的犹太人，守亚达月十四日为喜乐、宴席、庆祝的日子，彼此送食物。

耶稣又对邀请他的人说：“你预备午餐或晚餐的时候，不要叫你的朋友、兄弟、亲戚或富有的邻居，免得他们也回请你，你就得了你的回报了。相反，你预备宴席的时候，要邀请那些贫穷的、残疾的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的，这样你就蒙福了，因为他们没有可回报你的，而在义人复活的时候，你将得到回报。”

不过你们当把里面的施舍给人，看哪，对你们来说一切就都洁净了。

因为本月的这两日，是犹太人摆脱他们的仇敌，从悲哀转为喜乐、从哀恸转为庆祝的日子；他们要守这两日为宴席和喜乐的日子，彼此送食物，也送礼物给穷人。

你当把你的份分给七人，甚至八人，因为你不知道将会有什么祸患临到地上。

耶和华再次呼唤撒母耳，撒母耳就起来，到以利那里，说：“我在这里，你呼唤了我吗？”以利说：“我没有呼唤你，我儿，回去睡吧。”

我父啊，请看！看看你外袍的衣摆就在我手中！我割下了你外袍的衣摆，却没有杀你。你要知道，也要看见我的手中没有恶行或叛逆。尽管你在猎取我的性命，我却没有得罪你。
